Love action-packed spy thrillers. Lara and Uri never disappoint. The suicide bombing plot is scary and interesting. I would love to this book as soon as possible.
Congratulations on BOTD!!

Thank you for your insightful and detailed review of "Devil Among Us" by Jack Winnick. It's evident from your thoughtful analysis that you thoroughly appreciated the intricate plot and the evolution of the characters, particularly highlighting the dynamic between Lara Edmond and Uri Levin. Your observation about the shift in Lara's role from a computer specialist to a field agent is astute, considering her growing experience in the field. The incorporation of various organizations and the exploration of their motivations added depth to the narrative, showcasing Winnick's prowess as a Middle East scholar. It's refreshing to read a spy thriller that goes beyond the genre's conventions, incorporating elements from other genres and addressing complex social and political situations. Your critique of the negative portrayal of the European Union adds an interesting perspective, emphasizing the importance of nuanced representations. Overall, your review provides valuable insights for potential readers, and your recommendation, along with the 5-star rating, solidifies "Devil Among Us" as a compelling and must-read addition to the Lara and Uri series.

Jack Winnick's expertise in the Middle East and his skill as a storyteller, with the book depicting a terrorist attack on the U.S. This book highlights reality in the case of Israel attacks.

Many thanks for this fascinating, informative review! I have always wanted to read Jack Winnick's works, and hence this book is already on my want-to-read shelf. It is great to see that Lara is growing and now also works primarily as a field agent.

I like action but I don't like political wars. But since it has to do with the USA and Israel, I just might find it interesting enough. Besides, your review speaks really good about the book.

As mentioned earlier, I won’t be picking up the Lara-Uri series as it has themes of graphic violence and terrorism. Nonetheless, congrats on the BOTD.

The reviewer's acknowledgment of the novel's sophisticated plot and its depiction of Lara and Uri in the midst of a complex international plan resonates with my taste for intricate storytelling. The explicit recommendation for grown-up readers, citing social and political complexities, adds a layer of realism that intrigues me.
