I can only wonder how much Heather had to handle and sign she was able to pull through. I am looking forward to finding out from this book. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

Always interested in seeing cultures so different from my own and individual stories based on those cultures. This review really convinced me, I'll read it during the holidays!
Thank you for going into such detail about the character growth despite the obstacles.

I am sorry to hear that the protagonist, Heather, was a victim of child abuse. I wonder how she managed to grow up to be a lovely person despite of her bad experiences. I am not sure I’d want to read this book; these sort of themes make me angry. Thank you for the lovely, thoughtful review anyway!

It is awful to me that so often authors make huge trauma a requirement for strong personality in a heroine. I am not sure if I want to read it, because while the story can inspire people with similar issues to overcome their experience, it is quite disturbing to those with a normal childhood. Congrats with BOTD, anyway!

Heather is the main character in a story that teaches the power of making the right decisions despite the abuse and struggles that we go through when most vulnerable, when children.

Abuse is one topic that is sensitive as you can't really tell at times, especially if family is involved. I look forward to reading the story of Heather to check how she coped with years of abuse. Beautiful review

A child suffering at home which is supposed to be a safe space, or maybe the safest place, is heartbreaking. It’s a harsh reality which needs to be talked about in public and this book does the same. It is admirable. Thanks for the great review!

"Heather" by Steven A. Yagyagan brings us the story of Heather who was a victim of child abuse. The plot of the book begins in American Samoa. I like that despite everything, Heather managed to keep her noble nature and loving hearth. I like how the character Heather is thought-out.

It’s heartbreaking for a young child to go through abuse, especially from people they consider close. She definitely doesn’t deserve that. Despite her circumstances, Heather still has a pure and loving heart, which is admirable. I’m glad her brother stood up for her.

It's impressive that the book received such a high rating despite the encountered errors. Your review underscores the impact of the story, and it's clear that even with the identified flaws, the emotional rollercoaster and overall enjoyment prevailed.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction set in American Samoa following Heather, who has a harsh life. Will she get the assistance she needs from God in order to overcome the obstacles put in her path? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

From the review, this sounds like an excellent book. However, I don't read books that feature child abuse, so I'll be skipping this. Congrats to the author on his achievement.
