Explore the enchanting realm of Voulhire in We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz. The story tells of an emperor who was suspicious of his sons' plotting against him. He then assigns each son an island to govern. Unfortunately, these princes rule with cruelty, prompting people to seek escape. Although the princes tried to prevent it, Galen, one fortunate individual, successfully flees to the magical land of Voulhire. Here, he stumbles upon an unexpected inheritance from his late uncle. As Galen navigates this mysterious land, the question looms: What does life hold for him in this land?

I found great pleasure in reading this book. The characters infused life into the plot and thus created a thrilling sense of suspense throughout. Witnessing the characters evolve was a wonderful experience. Personally, Meldorath stood out as my favorite, despite his villainous role. His presence consistently heightened the tension, adding an intriguing layer to the storyline. Each mention of his name sparked anticipation, keeping me eagerly engaged. The inclusion of a map contributed a sense of authenticity to the story, allowing me to easily create a visual image of the story's world. Additionally, the glossary proved invaluable, serving as a helpful reference guide. The book's adventurous spirit was unique, and the author skillfully employed simple and direct language, enhancing the overall experience. The writing style, I must say, was truly exceptional.

The one aspect of this book that I didn't quite like was its ending, which left me in a state of curiosity and speculation. Fortunately, the knowledge that it's part of a series brings relief, and I'm genuinely eager to explore the other books in this sequence.

I'm rating this book 5 out of 5 stars, mainly due to the beautiful storyline and the author's skillful construction of the plot. Throughout my reading experience, I didn't come across any errors, indicating exceptional editing. I recommend this book to fellow fantasy enthusiasts; it's one they're sure to relish.

My guess tells me that Galen will be related to the Emperor in a way. I can't really say but I'll love to read about a connection between Galen and the wicked Princes. Thanks for an amazing review.
