Sexual implications

Post by Ganeefa Karan »

Do you think the sexual teasing in some of the poems reduced the quality of the book?

I felt that at times, I got a bit uncomfortable while reading the book but it didn't affect me too much that the quality of the book was reduced.

Not really, the sexual teasings made the book more interesting and kelt the reader more focused and wondering what the teaser would end up being as the poems concluded

I think it was on average. It didn't really make me uncomfortable at all , and infact i enjoyed it!

I found the sexual teasing quite enticing to be honest, it made me feel more emotions when reading the poems.

I found the innuendos clever but overplayed. Of the 52 calligrams/photography poems, 37 were innuendos. I definitely did not like the innuendos that involved kids, like the one where the first half implied bondage, but it was just a little girl getting pigtails done before school.

Sexual teasings in the book did not make me uncomfortable at all. Moreover, I think it made the understandability of the emotions and context better.

I found the sexual metaphors quite amusing and in touch with real life. I had no problem with them whatsoever.

I definitely agree with you on both points here! The first couple of times that it came up I thought it was funny, but it got really old quite quickly when it was so much of the book, and the one or two that involved children were very uncomfortable!

I don't think it reduced the quality. However, it got boring after a while. After the first few sexually suggestive poems I had had enough. And for someone such as myself who enjoys erotica from time to time, that's saying a lot.

It was a bit uncomfortable, and did affect my overall enjoyment of the book but while some would be okay with this, I wasn't completely comfortable with this.

I dont not think so. Personally it did not affect the overall pleasure I had reading this book even though some readers will be uncomfortable with it.

Understanding these implications is crucial for effective communication and maintaining respectful interactions. It's important to be mindful of context and consider the comfort and boundaries of those involved in any conversation or situation with potential sexual undertones. Open communication and consent play key roles in navigating these aspects of human interaction.

So far as poems language is hidden truths and conspiracies, is a great way to hide sexual descriptions not just by reading but by incorporating your spirit and mind. ArtWords is a great book of substances.

I thought it was an interesting twist, though it did feel repetitive after awhile. I wish this technique had been used slightly less.
