Next Techy Question is About ITunes, Help?

Post by Loveabull »

Okay my kid is having trouble figuring this one out too.
We have ITunes in our computer.
He has songs in the music library of our computer already.
I want to somehow make my own file of music from CDs and ITunes.
Do I go into ITunes and open my own account or how do we do this?

You can put your music onto his Itunes and make a playlist out of it possibly, or organising your tunes into a different folder or category.

It's basically deciding what library you want to add the tunes to. Not totally sure how plugging in devices like iphones or ipods is effecting though when you go to synch music.

I LOVE your avatar, ferrets are one of the few critters we never had...I'm jealous. So I guess in kind of concrete terms, we can put all the music in one place then I can make a folder of just mine right? That makes sense too because there is some stuff like Daft Punk that we both listen to.

We ended up getting ferrets kind of by accident and subsequently have turned into a mini ferret sanctuary :S It's scary how smart they are sometimes.

You should be able to create separate libraries for everything yes. Although to be honest I recently bailed on itunes because it was starting to annoy me so much.

Usually iTunes is interchangeable with Apple-related iDevices. You could copy/transfer songs from your PC to, say, an iPod and reverse the process back to your own playlist on the PC. Or save all music to a shared desktop file and divide up from there. Or use a USB flash drive.....I download music from Freegal with an iTunes app. You can have a playlist on PC, most devices like iPad, iPod etc, MP3 or burn to CD. The Freegal description reads "includes many of today’s top artists" and I downloaded the new Daft Punk single on release - free.
