This book emphasizes that as individuals it's important we have something or someone to find solace in when the world gets overwhelming. It's better to have something than someone because human beings can't be 100% reliable. Mine is music and Writing, what is yours?

Great review of the book. I started writing poetry at an early age as a release. Let's just say my childhood wasn't ideal. So, I tell people that I bled words. Just like the author my poems all rhyme, it's just my style. Thank you for giving us an overview of this amazing book.

A Brighter Tomorrow

Who would have ever thought that poetry could be so therapeutic. Finding a niche in writing is very unique and rewarding all in one. The writer allows us to relate a d reflect occurrences that we all have experienced no matter how big or small.

Latest Review: The Golden Manuscripts: A Novel by Evy Journey

Amid the pandemic, the author sought solace in writing and found it through penning verses, marking the beginning of her poetic journey. A Brighter Tomorrow, authored by Lori Schneider, MD, is a collection of uplifting poems reflecting on various themes such as love, racial injustice, hope, courage, and animal advocacy. Schneider's poems are not only a creative outlet but also a therapeutic expression, citing influences like Deepak Chopra and Robert F. Kennedy. Schneider's predominantly rhyming format, while potentially perceived as formulaic, reveals a consistent and intentional style upon closer inspection. The inclusion of photographs and paintings by Mark Salevitz, MD, adds to the aesthetic appeal. I appreciate Schneider's storytelling in poems like "Pandemic Closet" and "Say Our Name," a poignant tribute to those who died unjustly. I recommend it to poetry and art enthusiasts.

Thank you for another great review. I'm glad you enjoyed the book so much. I did like the quote at the beginning of the book, but since the sample didn't have any of the poems or artwork I don't know what it's like. So many poems I don't understand and that is sad to me. I'm sure like you said those who enjoy artwork and poetry will be glad to pick up this book.
