How do you cook your beans?

Post by Comfort Ansah »

I love beans and I cook it in different ways.

First method
I blend it adding peppers, onion, garlic, tomatoes and cooking oil. Tie it up in small portions using a plastic and boil till it's cooked.

Second method
I blend adding peppers, onion, make in balls and fry in cooking oil

Third method

I just boil the beans, add ingredients until it's cooked.

Beans are one of my favorite food. First step: I wash the beans and pour them into boiling water to cook. Second step: I slice onions inside to beans to give them an aroma and it also makes the beans cook faster
Third step: when the beans are soft I add my ingredients ( Salt, pepper, palm oil)
Fourth step: leave it for 5 mins to steam and then serve

First, you should wash the beans, then soak them, then drain them and put them in a pot, cook them with all your additives. Simmer the beans until they are tender.

I cook it on a jollof way. Beans separately and sauce separately. It helps me make it sweeter.

I start by thoroughly washing the beans and then soaking them overnight, usually for 12 hours. After draining the water, I pressure-cook them until nearly finished. In a separate pot, I sauté onions, garlic, pimento, chives, and hot pepper. Then I combine the partially cooked peas with the mixture and let it simmer together. I also add a Maggi cube, some thyme, and whatever amount of salt is right. Then I wait until the beans reach the desired texture.

How I cook my beans :
I wash it first of all with warm water to remove any chemical that has been used to preserve it.
After that I boil it for about 30 mins.
While it's boiling,I grind my pepper, tomatoes, crayfish.
Once the beans becomes soft, I will fry a little bit of red oil,put in the onion, grinded pepper, tomato, crayfish. I will also add fish (if I want to), one cube of Maggi to taste and salt.add a little quantity of water.
Allow it to boil a little ,then put it down.

I prefer the slow-cooking method for beans. Soaking them overnight and simmering them on low heat with aromatic spices results in a rich and flavorful dish.

I soak them over night and then pressure cook them. I enjoy cooking them like an Indian dish or sometimes with I like making refried beans.

I love beans so I make them all different kinds of ways. Usually starting with a Sofrito and then adding my beans and garlic. I’m not a huge fan of refried beans though.

I like beans, but beans do not like me. I have attempted to cook them several times. I just can't seem to get it right! I'll have to read these comments for help! 🤣
