From betrayal to illegitimate children, Richard Marker, Chief Security Officer, has a lot on his plate to deal with because of all the chaos. This is a book that will keep readers turning the pages. Each character’s background is briefly discussed, which connects the readers. An intense thriller novel.

Congrats on BOTD!
The novel 'The Hotel Detective and His Lover' prompts readers to consider the similarities between the hotel's struggle for existence and their own complex path through life. I can't wait to get started on this exciting tale. It sounds like a really exciting journey.

Great review, easy to read ,highlighting the strengths and weaknesses related to grammatical mistakes.
For those passionate about mystery and crime, picturesque characters such as the femme fatale, the homosexual, the arrogant boss, the mole, and many others seems to be the complete package.
The hotel , it's turn into a majestic and protective figure with its customers, brings a beneficial contribution to the story.I will definitely recommend it to my friends who are passionate about this kind of books!

It was interesting to peek behind the curtains and catch a glimpse of life in a luxury hotel. Since I like murder mysteries, I was also attracted by the mystery of Cynthia’s death and the outcome of Andrew’s kidnapping

Wow! Excellent review! Elements such as romance, love triangle, hostile takeover, murder, dry humor, and many more ensure that the novel is a page-turner... an incredible thriller with no dull moments. Best wishes to Derek Picot, the author.

Thank you for an elaborate review. This book sounds full of mystery and thrill. This being said, is not my particular style of reading but it does sound tempting. The writer sounds brilliant in depicting his expertise in the hotel industry/ the atmosphere in supporting the realistic backdrop for the plot. The chapter division sounds smart and engaging for the reader, considering this is a 500-page read. Congratulations to the author!

This sounds like a really great book for adrenaline-story junkies. The action and thrill only add flare to the romance involved. I'm now curious if Marker would finally win Sandrine's love.

The book's combination of a rich vocabulary and simple sentences is particularly beneficial for readers seeking to expand their word knowledge. Personally, I found it especially rewarding as I discovered and embraced new words, with "Darjeeling" becoming a favorite among them.

The book sounds interesting. The hotel is the place where lots of people come and go so Richard Marker met a lot of people and dealt with lots of exciting and intriguing situations that included the femme fatale, the arrogant boss, the unscrupulous mole, the estranged son, the cheating husband, the homosexual, the drug addict, and the killer. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

"The Hotel Detective and his Lover" by Derek Picot is a gripping thriller with a dynamic plot, vivid character portrayals, and a touch of dry humor. Despite its need for proofreading, it offers a captivating read for fans of suspense and murder mysteries, with the Adelphi Hotel serving as a compelling backdrop to a tale filled with twists and surprises.
