Thank you for your explicit review on, "The Hotel Detective and his Lover" by Derek Picot. Even though it is over 500 pages it is a fast read with lots of twist and turns that I look forward to reading. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

Thanks for the great review. I am glad that topics such as: the femme fatale, the arrogant boss, the unscrupulous mole, the estranged son, the cheating husband, the homosexual, the drug addict, and the killer are investigated. It is sad that many characters were driven by self-interest and had no conscience. That is what is currently happening in the world that we live in, so I can relate to the book, and I hope that this book is educational and empowering. Congrats to the author for the BOTD!

It's a fascinating piece, ranging from un predictable outcomes from the Chief Security officer had to face down to Sandrine's affair.
Classic and breath taking.

Except for the fact that the murder, mystery and hostile take-over already had my attention, I must add the hotel setting sounds intriguing. This is definitely an add to my WTR list. Thanks for a detailed and well written review.

A very exciting and interesting story with many distinct and interesting characters and many events and scenes
What is striking is that the writer describes to us the characters and individuals who pass through a 5-star hotel. The main content revolves around a murder that took place in this...
The luxurious hotel in the sixties in London in order to solve the mystery of this murder and the emergence of conspiracies with many people.
Those inside the hotel are with an investigator who is superior to them in intelligence, and we notice that the writer moves on in the description and details of the character.
To another, it gives us a look at life inside the hotel, keeping us excited and following the different parts of the story
A wonderful story. I advise everyone to read this book.

Your review brilliantly captures the essence of Derek Picot's 'The Hotel Detective and his Lover.' The way you've highlighted the dynamic setting of the Adelphi Hotel and its role as almost a character in its own right is intriguing. It's interesting how you pointed out the novel's strong points, like the vivid character portrayals and the engaging plot, alongside the need for further editing. Your insights make me eager to dive into this world of luxury, intrigue, and complex characters.

I am a thriller addict, and this book beckons to me. The length seems daunting, though, but I trust
the humor will help me plow through. I am not impressed with the title, though. Maybe the author can make it more exciting.

The author is a very descriptive writer. This is great for the imagination in painting a picture and feeling of the scenery and the characters, but also does slow the story down. The opening scene is intriguing but disappears for quite a while.

The variety of characters and subplots in this novel ensures the readers' engagement and keeps them on their toes. However, the violence and mature content make it less appealing to me. Nonetheless, congratulations on BOTD!

Today's BOTD will captivate readers who enjoy crime thrillers and detective novels. Richard, the Chief Security Officer at the Adelphi Hotel, and Sandrine, the French Public Relations Officer, will join forces during a hostile takeover bid. The review was eloquent, and the sample pages started with an intriguing scene that made me wonder why the biker left the woman to die after the accident. Congratulations on the BOTD!
