Your comprehensive review of "Sentinel of the Light: Awakening" provides valuable insights into the plot, themes, and character dynamics of the book. The mention of the protagonist's journey and the intertwining of paranormal and magical elements adds depth to the narrative. Your recognition of themes such as friendship, trust, self-discovery, and emotional trauma showcases the multifaceted nature of the story.

Your analysis of the book's strengths, including the captivating prologue and initial chapters, reflects the author's ability to create suspense and maintain curiosity. However, your observation of the diminished elements and prolonged buildup, as well as the identification of foul play, highlights areas where the narrative could be strengthened
Your recommendation for fantasy lovers and those interested in the hero archetype aligns with the book's themes. Encouraging the author's effort while suggesting areas for improvement contributes to a thoughtful and fair review. 📚🌟

Nice! The review gave a honest assessment of the book pointing out the areas for improvement as well as the strengths. Although a science-fiction, the subject of paranormal is not exactly what I would love. But I love magic and fantasy. I know that there are reports that parapsychology is real (I do not know the truth of this claim). Thus, whether the book intermixed parapsychology and magic and treat both as the same thing, I believe I would not care. I perhaps would just classify the story as magic and not a science-fiction. I hope the book will cover by way of the story the truth about parapsychology. The review honestly pointed out that the story has a satisfactory plot but only makes an "averagely interesting read". It has selective character development and with unresolved sub-plots. I really do not know now. The review says the characters were pushed to the depths of parapsychology. Can the story-events erase, in effect, the negatives mentioned in the review? While I like my protagonist to be almost a perfect hero, I would also wanted him to be normal and still be a mortal. Will the resulting prolonged build-up because my protagonist did not do right away what is expected affect my appreciation? Something tells me I would like to give it a try inspite of these negatives. I hope I am not mistaken. But perhaps it may not matter. I like the occurrences of magic.

Thanks for the great review. I'm generally interested in paranormal stories out of curiosity and fear of the unknown. I'm intrigued by the author's use of parapsychology, which is new to me. I guess I'll know more by reading this book. There's also the elements of the characters which may be necessary to explore, including gullibility and self discovery. I'd definitely make a date to read this book.

This book seems to have a lot of potential but without depth character development and without any professional editing. Thank you for your reviews, won’t read it :)

Sentinel of the Light: Awakening's plot is pretty interesting, with paranormal events. Dave's and Anna's characters are interesting, as are the medical student and parapsychologist. I agree that too many open subplots automatically make it less interesting.
Congratulations on BOTD!!

mpressive review! You didn't get carried away by the magic and fantasy, you thoroughly dissected the book. Your review has furthermore shown me what I can expect or not in reading the book, and you still portrayed the book as a good read, even with the star deduction. Thank you, I've learnt a thing or two from this.

This is what an honest review should look like! It's objective and precisely points out areas for improvement.
I liked the storyline, the background of it and seems like this may appeal more to the "young adult" audience. Kudos to the author for making it to BOTD!!

The novel also tackles themes such as trust, self-discovery, deceit, a tumultuous father-son relationship, emotional trauma, gullibility, and the paranormal, which alludes to magic and fantasy.
-After reading this part, I was more than willing to read the book, but when I saw the review negatives, I got upset. I'm on the fence about it. A well-formed review. Thank you.

Your honest critique, pointing out both the strengths and areas for improvement, reflects a balanced perspective. The mention of issues with sentence and word structure, though critical, helps set realistic expectations for readers. I value your transparency in the rating process.
