"Worldlines" by Adam Guest offers a fascinating exploration of the multiverse theory, creating a unique narrative where different instances of Gary navigate their own worldlines. The concept of one version unintentionally committing a crime that another must pay for adds an intriguing layer to the storyline. The author's ability to distinguish between the different Garys and narrate in the first person provides a clear and engaging perspective for the reader. Nice review.

I like the idea of time travel and stories about parallel universes. The idea of one person crossing over to another dimension of the universe and living that life, and then coming back (or not) intrigues me. What if, we did something we regret later, wish that it could have been different and just go to another dimension and undo it?! This excites me!! I'm adding this to my list of "want to read" and hope there are sequels coming. Thanks for the detailed review!!

Thanks for the review. I hope alternate universe Gary -- the one who didn't commit the murder, but got blamed for it (if I understood correctly?) -- is able to be exonerated.

“Worldlines” by Adam Guest is a sci-fi story about a guy named Gary who commits murder whilst lucid dreaming. Gary does not believe he really killed someone but his girlfriend’s mother Mary, suffering from dementia, claims she witnessed this crime. Gary asks a physics professor to help figure out a possible explanation. Adam Guest based this story on multiverse theory. The different Garys from the multiverse universes were somewhat confusing since they all narrated in the first person. The multiverse theme reminded me of The Flash on the CW that included multiple Earths and the same characters living on these alternative planets. A fascinating story that has motivated me to put the book on my to-read shelf. The sample was confusing and not part of the real story. The official review was excellent.

Something more fascinating was the various worldlines that exist. I would want to read the novel and find out how it operated and how the same individual could be present in all those worldline that existed.

A murder served with the multiverse theory? Sign me right up! I’m very curious to know how Gary tackles such a tricky situation. Congrats on the BOTD!

Indeed, the repetitions are unavoidable as they helped one to get back on track on which Gary was doing what. The author really did a good job of putting it all together, and like you, I started imagining what life would be like if we really had different versions of ourselves in different wordlines.

What do we know about anything? Death, paranormal, other worlds, parallel worlds, etc. Adam Guest has written a book that addresses these questions, from a young persons point of view, from their fairly naive standpoint. I feel that it is a novel best read by young adults, due to the main characters age, his experiences and feelings.

The multiverse theory's portrayal in "Worldlines" fascinates me, especially the ethical implications of a crime committed in another worldline. The author skillfully navigates different Garys' perspectives, making the narrative engaging.

This is an intriguing storyline, and I find the cover to suit it perfectly. I'm curious to know how Gary has to pay for an unintentional incident done in another word line. I agree that this theory makes for interesting fiction.

The concept of worldlines is intriguing, even though I'm not comfortable with. I will give this book a chance. Thank you for the review.

The cover makes me believe that something is always lurking. The book is told from different angles. The protagonist in his different entities shows his point of view, the purpose is to demonstrate that he is innocent of a murder that has occurred. This is confusing to me, but interesting. #BOTD
