Fresh Beginnings, written by Leela Dutt, is a collection of short stories that vary in their topics. 

There are eleven stories in this book. Each of them was unique in not only their topics but also their narrative techniques as well. Two stories in this book were written in the form of letters. One of them, 'All in a Day's Work' was a series of letters written by a store manager to one of their customers, Mrs. Blenkinsop. The story took unexpected turns, and the progress of the story was through the letters alone. 

My favourite story was 'A Royal Wedding' where Daniel and Charlie travel to a story to find Daniel's elder brother, Ed. It was interesting and had magical elements. The story 'The End of the Road' was an emotional one as it dealt with familial relationships. The story showed a dysfunctional family where everyone was taken care of by the grandmother. The story had a bitter ending, which made me emotional. 

The best thing about this book was the uniqueness of each story inside. They varied in their characters and stories, which made me curious to read and understand how different each of them was. Some of the stories were funny, while others were emotional. 

There weren't any negatives that I found about this book. I found only a single error, thus showing that it was professionally edited. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I decided to give this book a full rating, as the book entertained me until the end and I didn't stumble across any negatives.

I highly recommend this book to those who love to read short stories. Each of these stories entertains the readers, and they deal with a variety of genres, including science fiction, making this a perfect choice for everyone.
