Yes. I agree with the statement,
"Hope is the Best Strategy." This is because we only keep on with life and everything in-between because there is hope. Hope ensures drive. In a state of hopelessness, there is no motivation.

I cannot say that is the "only" best strategy but yes, it is surely one of the best strategy. Hope is what keeps one going and I believe if we do not hold onto that hope, we have already lost half the battle. Hope is useful in all areas of our lives and if we learn to navigate it well then we can reach peaks of success in both dimensions of our lives, both personal and professional.

I agree with the way the author puts hope as a vital foundation for the various agents we employ in our goal towards happiness.

While hope can provide motivation and positivity, relying solely on it may not be the most effective strategy. A balanced approach combining hope with realistic planning and action tends to yield better results. Hope can be a powerful driving force, but practical steps and strategies are crucial for achieving goals.

As a Buddhist, embracing hope is a positive approach to life, motivating you to rise each morning and give your best effort. It's essential, however, not to become overly attached to the outcomes. If the results don't align with your hopes, acknowledge that you did your best. Accept the situation for what it is, surrender, and trust that everything happens for a reason. There might be something even better awaiting you in the future.

While hope can be a powerful motivator, relying solely on hope may not be the most effective strategy. Combining hope with realistic planning and action is often more fruitful, as it addresses challenges with a proactive approach.

As Andy Dufresne from Shawshank Redemption would say, Hope, is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies. So, I would definitely agree with an emotion that is immortal.

I believe hope is the best strategy in dealing with life's challenges. We ought to believe that a failure in one sector in life is not the absolute end. There are always much more positives in store for us.

I never considered hope from this perspective before. I used to think it was akin to wishing, but now I see the difference. Hope comes with the power to turn it into reality, while a wish remains passive. The way he articulates hope being an active force resonates with me. If I hope for something, it means I have the capacity to work towards making it happen. Great question

Initially, when I read that chapter I did not agree to it but now I can see how it works. Hope can be used as a strategy if we can cultivate a habit. Once we have a habit then we will automatically resort to hope than despair and hopelessness when tough situations arise in life. As mentioned in the chapter, we need to master four beliefs and four functional elements of hope. If we make plans and take action rather than merely wishful thinking then hope can be used as a strategy.

Hope with the actions to get what you wish, yes. You want hope, desire what you hope for and then take action to reach your results.

Saying "Hope is the Best Strategy" means it's good to stay positive and look forward to the future. While being hopeful is important because it keeps you going, it's not enough by itself. You also need to take real steps and work hard to make things happen. So, hope is really powerful when you combine it with action.

Hope keeps us going and going on the path what we choose. At first it seems that we'll not reach to the place we've dreamed of being at. Hope makes us believe in ourself and just to hang in there because great things take time and it's hope that makes those great things happen.

I agree that hope is a strategy , that helps us stay positive and understand that no situation lasts for ever, so with that we stay motivated and happy till we are out of that situation.

I agree that it's a good strategy, but it has to be worked at to be the best. Dr Ross has written a plethora of ways that will improve our facility of hope; physical work, spiritual work and psychological work. Really, I am wondering, what else do we have in times of stress and hardship. As humans we are lucky to be able to hope, and to be able to achieve it using his guidance in the best possible way.
