As with all the Lara and Uri books, this is not for me as I have no interest in reading books about terrorism, especially with what seems to be anti-Islam propaganda vibes.

Waterworks by Jack Winnick is a suspense-filled novel about a terror attack on the nation's drinking water. Eddie's discovery of the dead fish and the birds near the water plant marks the beginning of a nail-biting event in the book. The poisoning which causes devastating effects on humans will have the FBI summon Lara and Uri to investigate and possibly prevent another attack. Just like with all of Winnick's books, it will be a fascinating read for all. Congratulations on the BOTD!

Once again the BOTD. The reviewer is right, crisp tone to a narration is fun to read. Also, Jack's knack for mixing fact and fiction is commendable. I can particularly relate to the book since india has been targeted by terrorists over the decades.

Yeah no doubt water poisoning is a plausible threat! But what is even more intriguing is that if something like this were to occur in the real world, we'd have to rely on a duo or group of people to save mankind. “Waterworks” by Jack Winnick is a fictional well-written exciting story about a terrorist attack on the Los Angeles water supply. Teams of terrorists that were members of an Iranian anti-American group added Polonium to the water supply by dropping it in the water from bridges in socks that they used to bring the poison into the U.S. Lara and Uri were already in Los Angeles on vacation so they were deployed to track down the terrorists and find their leader in Iran. This is an action thriller that readers do not want to put down until the last page. This book is Jack Winnick’s 5th book in this series and all of his books are excellent. I highly recommend this book.
