The book raises thought-provoking questions about the hereditary nature of mental health issues, going beyond the initial assumption that the author's challenges solely stemmed from his childhood trauma. Wilson's introspective approach encourages readers to reflect on the complexities of mental health within families.

Battling such complicated mental health issues from such a young age must’ve been extremely strenuous for the author. It’s just unfair. I admire the author for his courage to share his journey with millions. Congrats on the BOTD!

The book delves into the author's traumatic childhood experience and its profound impact on his mental health. The review raises the question of whether his mental health struggles originated solely from this traumatic event or if there were underlying genetic factors at play. It's worth considering the interplay between external events and genetic predispositions in mental health concerns.

Wilson's ability to share his journey with vulnerability and honesty is commendable. The memoir offers a unique perspective on bipolar disorder, giving readers insight into the author's seventy-three-year-long battle with the illness.

This novel describes a man’s hellish path with HIS bipolar disorder. This story will be used to help others deal with their disease. I assume it was both painful and healing for the author to remember HIS lifelong battle with bipolar disorder. Congrats on #BOTD

This book sounds like it can be relatable to a lot of people, even if they don’t want to admit it.
It would be nice to read about how mental health can be genetically passed down, I think people may not pay attention to that. This review intrigued me, thank you.

The reviewer was concise and informative concerning the critical issue of mental health, in this case, bipolar disorder. I generally avoid dark topics; the reviewer knew this book fit that slot.
I enjoy reading stories of real-life struggles, so I will add this one to my shelf as I explore my mindset and whether I am prepared to read such a tragic story.
I appreciate this review, as it gave me enough information to make an informed decision.

Thank you for your great review. Mental illness is so difficult not only for the person, but the family and friends even when they believe them. It still has such a stigma too. I did like how he wrote the book and his honesty throughout it. I haven't decided if I want to read such a somber book though it is written well.

Nice review. "Teetering on a Tightrope" by Steven W. Wilson is a memoir of author sharing his struggle with bipolar disease and it's impact on his life. The author's resilience to fight against darkest times shone throughout the book.

The title of this memoir truly depicts the mental health of a depressed person, and it would be worth knowing the struggle the author of this book experienced to control his illness.

It is awful that such things happen in the world. I usualy am not a fan of memoirs, but as a psychologi student myself, I am interested to see how he feels and how he's dealing with it. Life must've been tough for him.

I was so capitavted by the sample. How do one live a full life when something like this happens to you, at such a young age? Then being diagnosed with bipolar was definitely a double slam-dunk, I'm sure. I think this will be a very informative read and hopefully after reading it, people will be more understanding with regard to this illness. I can't imagine what a struggle this must be just to try and live a normal life. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD.

This deeply emotional memoir outlines the life of Steven W. Wilson who suffered from sexual abuse as a child and struggled with bipolar disorder throughout his life. I commend the author for his honesty, bravery, and willingness to educate readers about the trials and tribulations of growing up with mental illness. Great book review!

This is a heartfelt memoir that narrates some of the most important aspects of the author's life. Sexual abuse, depression, and bipolar disorder marked his life and seemed to determine his future. But life goes on, and now the author has chosen to share his lessons and experiences.

Sounds like a tough read about bipolar disorder, so readers should probably be careful with their triggers.
