This sounds like a seriously intense collection. I'm not much of a fan of poetry, and the subject matter isn't anything that appeals to me. Nevertheless, I congratulate the author on BOTD.

Thank you for your great review. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It sounds like a unique book for those who enjoy history, poetry, and war stories. From the sample, it did seem like it was written well, just not a book for me. Hopefully, many others will enjoy it.

This sounds like a very heavy topic focused on the Syrian conflicts. This book of poems would serve as a window for the world to see what is happening in Syria and how the citizens cope with the hardship.
As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will always exist.

Poetry has always been an impactful way of describing was. I remember studying poems of WW1 and WW2 when I was at school. It allows glimpses into the emotions and thoughts of individuals. This collection appears no different in its impact.

Thank you for your insightful review of "Voices From A Forgotten Letter" by Seif-Eldeine. This book of poems about the Syrian Civil War gives a voice to the people who lived during this war. People like the sad bride, the diabetic woman, the abused woman and the dying soldier. It is heart breaking that the war is happening but even worse that it is in their backyard. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

This book of poems on the Syrian Civil War by Seif-Eldeine is so compelling. One main theme of this book of poems is that despite the war and people dying, life goes on. This book tells different stories of different people from different perspectives during the Syrian civil war. Congratulations on BOTD.

This book reminds me of the latest bombings, and how people die. Those who survive are left with missing body parts, no homes, no loved ones, etc. It is devastatingly emotional to reach such books. I love this review.

It's remarkable how the poems encapsulate the resilience of human spirit amidst the Syrian conflict. The reviewer's mention of the vivid imagery and the intense portrayal of the Syrian people's plight is compelling. The poem about the dying soldier and the refugee bride particularly resonate, highlighting the universal themes of loss, hope, and the strength to endure. The glossary's inclusion seems like a thoughtful touch, enhancing the reader's understanding and connection with the text. As a Syrian citizen who lives in Europe but visits Syria often even after the war, I'm extremely curious to read this book and see if what I have seen so far with my own eyes is reflected in this collection of poems. So heartbreaking. After reading your review and seeing that there are poems from the point of view of children and even soldiers, I honestly cannot wait to read this!!

'Official Review: Voices from a Forgotten Letter: Poems on the Syrian Civil War' by Seif Eldeine presents a sublime and informative description of the drama and poetry book for avid readers. I love how the review explores the issues the book raises. The point that this collection of poems shows how war impacts Syria and how life continues is worth mentioning in the review. The readers would learn about the soldiers on the front line through the poems. Also, as mentioned in the review, the poems describe the Syrian people's everyday lives, and some depict the lives of people who will die despite the war. It was great to learn that the poet's imagery is so intense that we feel a part of the scene being played out!
