By presenting the ordinary lives of Syrians amid extraordinary circumstances, the author breaks through stereotypes, fostering empathy and providing a nuanced portrayal that goes beyond the sensationalism often seen in media coverage.

I wonder how these are all told in poems because poems are not really straightforward and to the point. But nevertheless, I would love to hear the story behind the struggle to keep life normal while the Syrian war goes on. Congratulations on BOTD!!

I'm glad the author crafted this book of poetry because it allows people to take a peek into a third-world country by showcasing different perspectives of what Syrian's go through. Since I am a poet, it's a no-brainer for me to get this book and indulge in the author's creative writing. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

Thanks for the review! Sounds fascinating. The Syrian Civil War is fascinating, but also very hard to understand from a difference. I am glad that Seif-Eldeine has helped to illuminate this complex and tragic subject.

Poetry is an evolved type of communication. It touches on the emotions so easily and so strongly! *Voices from a Forgotten Letter* by Seif-Eldeine Is filled with Syrian poetry about every-day people and soldiers during war-time. Each line suggests that we are all on this earth together and must find the best way that we can all live together in harmony. The thorough review lets us know that this book will touch your heart and mind. Possibly the readers will emerge as more understanding and loving people.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

Sounds like a interesting read. A very emotional and powerful read.
Poems are not my cup of tea, but it seems like an important book to come out. Showing that life goes on even with the horrors of war playing out.

The novel intricately weaves together the poignant narratives of individuals impacted by war, love, and loss. This book sounds interesting because it discusses civilians view of war and also the soldiers. It sounds like it might be a very emotional book of poetry and how the country tries to stay safe and sane. I like to read books about history especially ones that have never been told.

It's a good book that explains how bad war is. The tragedy that war inflicts on children and women

This book seems like a collection of trigger warnings. I don't think I can stomach reading it right now. Looking at the current events. But I would like to read about victims of war and how their lives carry on afterwards. Just maybe not right now.

I am fascinated by how this collection of poems will demonstrate how war impacts Syria. In particular, I am intrigued by the stories of the refugees who were forced to do slave labor in sweatshops. I am interested in learning the everyday life of Syrian people.
