Thank goodness I am happily (blissfully) married. I could have written my own version of 28 dates lol. I'm going to give this one a read, as I have a bad feeling I'm going to relate to many of her dates. Cara, I was reading reviews and sadly thought, "I wish I could find a lighter, humorous read." (I'm in great need of a bit of comic relief). Then, I see this funny review--BINGO! I would love to read this book; it seems fun. Although the topic is about the worst dates, the author's way of expressing them makes the book interesting and laughable. Sarah, I would love "for" you to read this book! This author has such an optimistic outlook and is genuinely fun and funny. The dates are relatable, and even though she is talking about the "worst" of them, they end up being the best for our entertainment I think most women will relate to her struggle to find love, be vulnerable, and understand the conditioning of our culture and society that has us behaving contrary to our logic! I also wondered what this book might be like if a guy published his own worst dates! If you review this book, I hope you'll include the things that ring true for men Not only that, but as a married man, if you can enjoy it and what, if anything, you learned (but secretly, you're going to want to read this 'with' your spouse)! Mari, you are correct—the older gentleman! This is one of the terms that I had never heard of, and now I want to use it all the time—to include as a reference to myself I am begging that the author does a sequel; however, I might be more impressed if, at the end of it all, she just finds happiness in having found her most authentic self! One thing the author and I have in common, besides disastrous dating, is that she feels Disney and romance novels let her down. It is the biggest reason I refuse to read romance. I've had so many awful first dates, one that springs to mind though is where we met on a dating app, seemed to get on well, then we agreed to meet for dinner. it was obvious the moment we met that it wouldn't work but preceded to have dinner anyway. 45 minutes of total silence lol, I couldn't wait to leave. Ah! This makes me giddy! I'm so excited to hear what you think of it! Oh my goodness...45 minutes of silence...that would be excruciating! I would probably just start talking to myself Let's see, worst date ever - (totally hoping the author is perusing these posts and sees the fodder for her sequel)...I went on a blind date with a friend of mine's coworker, and even though he was shorter than my 5'4 frame, I was willing to give it a go (very big of me, right? ) In any case, the first date wasn't terrible; it was after a dubious second date. I felt it wasn't going to work out, so I sent a lovely "I am not feeling a connection, but I had a nice time" text as a response for a third date. He argued with me for the next four days because he couldn't understand why I would say that when "he" most certainly felt a connection. Argued. It was mind-blowing. He also wanted every specific reason why I wasn't connecting. Mortifying. Perhaps in a DM, I could give more details I'm looking forward to your review-big time! Until next time...

This book only took me a day to read, it was so refreshingly funny, and so easy to read.
