This book seems too steeped in religion for my liking. Additionally, I do not understand how the cover and the title, "In DeLorean’s Shadow: The Drug Trial of the Century' by the Sole Surviving Defendant", fit into the story. I have to pass on this.

I appreciate the author's discussion on everything about his life, even the sensitive ones such as his drug dealings, his incarceration in prison and his experience with the deadly disease AIDS. Thanks for the review.

Wow! Just wow! Life in prison is rough and not what anyone should experience. Why couldn't those involved in drug smuggling also get investigated and arrested too? I hope young people who have crime in mind can get this book and learn some valuable lessons.

Hi @Tommy Mayengbam, this true story happened over 40 years ago. I recall DeLorean waws in trouble, but I did not remember the details. I purchased the book so I can learn the details, how the feds were tipped off about Arrington and how Arrington received a pardon from President Obama. The religious messages in the story show how one can put their lives in God's hands, repent for their sins, live a good life and help the less fortunate can go to Heaven. I think this was a well-written story. @Mrlefty0706

The author did a good job of letting people know that life indeed is in phases and no condition is permanent. He talked about his incarceration as a result of drug peddling, love life, marriage etc. I would want to get the full information of his major life events. Congrats on the BOTD and a satisfactory review.

Even though I haven't read the book, your review gave me a great overview. The themes of self-acceptance and the consequences of one's actions sound like valuable takeaways.

"In DeLorean's Shadow" sounds like an interesting autobiography with the "The Drug Trial of the Century" connection. I'm sure there's a lot to learn from Stephen Lee Arrington's story, especially in choices and consequences. I hope the book finds an appreciative audience. Congrats on BOTD!

I believe that this book should be in libraries more than it actually is. If possible,in juvies too. As this book explains the eventual consequences of bad influence, drugs and allowing yourself to drift away from your creator. The author should please have a group reading or a book club to discuss more on the book and how he felt when in prison.

Hi @Noorulain shah, for an unknown reason I receive an email from OBC when a member Posts their comments after I do. I have read many postings and I found that you did a great job summarizing In DeLorean's Shadow and your comments are spot on. Good review of an excellent book. The fact that Arrington put his faith in God to help him and guide him is commendable. Asking readers to accept Jesus Christ after their sins are forgiven is the way taught by Christ over 2,000 years ago. @Mrlefty0706

Hi @Tommy Mayengbam, this drug case happened over 40 years ago so you may have been too young to remember it. DeLorean was involved because he needed money to keep his company afloat. I am glad that Arrington found God after he was incarcerated, begged for forgiveness and guidance for the rest of his life. God will always forgive a person that is truly sorry they committed a crime but remorse must be involved. Some of Christ's apostles begged Christ for forgiveness and they are at Chrst's side in Heaven today along with many of our ancestors. @Mrlefty0706
