Some or probably most of us did not have the best start to the life. We feel like nothing is clicking, nothing gives us peace, nothing is helping us. The author felt the same, until he did not anymore and he shared his journey here. Congratulations on BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.
There are few things in life that can make me as happy as oily foods.

Life is full of surprises and mysteries, and sometimes we have to take risks and trust our instincts. The book explores the themes of identity, legacy, and destiny. It shows how our past shapes our present and how our choices shape our future. Thanks for sharing this insightful review.
Life is a play where we are the actors and the audience, We laugh and cry, love and hate, create and destroy,
We seek to know ourselves and others, to belong and to be free, We accept what we can and change what we must.

Nice review! I was reading the sample and found myself reeled in pretty quickly! So to hear this:
My least favorite aspect was the abrupt change in style from a charming and light narrative to deep philosophical insights into the protagonist's mind. It almost seemed like the book was divided into two separate parts. While both parts of the narrative were interesting, the transition between them felt somewhat jarring.
Admittedly, this is a bit disappointing. When I initially read about the protagonist going to therapy and they’re being an exploration of the psychological aspects of his story/journey, I was very interested and wondered how fluidly all of that works together throughout the course of the narrative. So to hear that the exposition of this was a bit choppy has me convinced that the book could still be entertaining, but unsure about if my focus/interest would wane while reading it.

Wonder what led to Rick's father disappearing and having his mother raise him alone. Would be good reading and learning his life experiences.

"The Fish House" by G. L. Rockey delves into Rick Carlson's life journey, marked by existential quests and personal challenges. Despite its engaging narrative and philosophical depth, particularly in therapy sessions that explore life's complexities, the book's sudden shift to deeper introspection and minor formatting issues slightly mar the experience. It captivates with its blend of humor, relatable language, and insightful character interactions. It appeals to fans of fictional drama and introspective narratives.

Great review! You incorporated what you liked and what you did not like in your review. What I noticed in the summary of the book is not only the errors, but there were a few discrepancies. In the beginning, there is a mention of a cell phone. There were no cell phones in 1945! I am not sure if I would enjoy the book if it is not edited, so I will put "The Fish House" aside for now. Thanks for the review!

This book is for readers who like to delve into the minds of people who have experienced trauma. The psychology in this story will satisfy this need. I hope Rick solves his mental problems with the help of his psychologist so that he can feel happy.

A first person narrated fictional drama can be found in the book "The Fish House" by G L Rockey, which follows the life of Rick Carlson, a man with a tumultuous past, searching for meaning in his life.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.
