The Fish House by G. L. Rockey is a story about the life of Rick Carlson who is searching for meaning in his life. The story brings with it diverse emotions and is also psychological. Congratulations on BOTD.

A first person narrated fictional drama can be found in the book "The Fish House" by G L Rockey, which follows the life of Rick Carlson, a man with a tumultuous past, searching for meaning in his life.

The therapy sessions between a psychologist and Rick are what draws me to the book; who's not searching for the meaning of their lives? This book seems to nicely combine romance, life meaning, adversity, humor, and much more.

Starting in life with the knowledge that your father abandoned you and your mother, is a situation that can easily lend itself to all sorts of psychological problems. The protagonist did not love his stepfather and his stepfather didn't seem to love him either, although he left his business to his stepson. I don't enjoy dramas and will therefore not read this book. Thank you for the great review.

Congrats on BOTD!
G. L. Rockey's fictional book "The Fish House" tells the story of Rick Carlson, who was abandoned by his biological father, Leo Mancuso, when he was a small child. Rick's story continues with his adult life and his appointments with a psychotherapist after he was raised by his mother, Carmella, and his grandparents.

The Fish House by G. L is an engaging and thought-provoking novel. Rick’s pursuit of meaning of his life that gave the story a philosophical turn as he embarks on therapy sessions with Dr. Sami Prothero, tells more about the book. I am looking forward to reading it.
Thank you for the insightful review.

The fish house sounds like a great fiction book about a guy just wanting to be happy after being abandoned by his father. Does he ever see his biological father again? I hope he finds happiness in the end. I also hope all the errors get fixed so it’s a more enjoyable read. I think I will wait until it has more rounds of editing before attempting to read it. Thank you for this thoughtful review.

Thank you for a good review.
Rick's story sounds full of challenges and therefore promises good philosophy. I love good philosophy.
I am curious about the insightful discussions between Rick and Dr Sam and super curious, particularly about the contents of chapter 55.
Congratulations to the author on crafting an evidently thought-provoking piece 👏

Rick going through all that challenges, it must be really though for him. His biological father disappeared, he also lost his step-father that's a lot to bear. I really hope he was able to overcome his fears. This is an impressive review by the way. Thanks alot. :D

This book sounds like a very interesting read based on the review provided here. I read the sample available on Amazon, and I was not hooked on the writing style the way the reviewer was. I do find the descriptions of the therapy sessions to be intriguing, however I have read books before where there is a sharp transition between tones that do not seem to flow well and I did not enjoy it. For this reason, I am not interested in reading this novel.
