In “Passion Struck,” the author challenges societal norms equating success with material achievements, emphasizing the need for intentional living. The book aims to inspire a movement towards purposeful existence, championing authenticity, passion, and purpose. The stories of successful individuals and their journeys, as highlighted in the book, can motivate readers to pursue their goals with passion and determination. The book emphasizes the transformative power of taking bold, consistent action. The book explores passion and perseverance. Unlocking intentional living involves breaking free from transactional mindsets, pursuing authentic success, and cultivating perseverance. Develop intentionality through deliberate action, purpose alignment, collaboration, and banishing "can't" from your vocabulary.

"Passion Struck" by John R. Miles is a compelling guide that transcends conventional self-help literature, offering a transformative roadmap to intentional living and personal fulfillment. Miles combines insightful narratives, practical exercises, and the wisdom gleaned from the experiences of iconic figures to create a comprehensive guide for individuals seeking purpose and passion in their lives. The author explores a diverse range of topics, from challenging societal norms to overcoming internal obstacles like fear and negative thought patterns. The chapters on leadership, originality, and embracing solitude offer valuable insights, making the book relevant not only for personal development but also for individuals in leadership roles.

The strength of this book lies in its emphasis on intentionality, urging readers to break free from societal expectations and cultivate a life aligned with their true desires. The integration of real-life stories, including those of successful individuals like Jeff Bezos, Oprah Winfrey, and SpaceX's Elon Musk, adds a layer of authenticity and inspiration to the book. Another standout feature is the "Passion Struck Framework," a twelve-step roadmap that combines mindset shifts and intentional behavior changes.

I didn't come across any drawbacks or negative aspects of the book. The narrative is engaging, and the author's writing style strikes a balance between depth and accessibility. Each chapter unfolds smoothly, building on the previous one and creating a cohesive and inspiring journey for the reader. The inclusion of exercises at the end of each chapter enhances the practical applicability of the book, turning concepts into actionable steps for personal growth.

The book editing is top-notch, ensuring a polished and engaging reading experience. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars because of its exceptional blend of inspiration, practicality, and authenticity. This book must make an impact on anyone who is at the beginning of their career. It's a must-read for those ready to embark on a transformative journey toward passion, purpose, and significance. I recommend this book to aspiring leaders who are on a quest for personal and professional growth. Also, to those who are looking to break free from societal expectations to redefine their purpose.

Veronica, hi! When I saw this title, I "hoped" it was precisely what you wrote! I have been deeply delving into the idea of societal norms and how they dictate what people do in so many areas of life. As I find myself in another life transition period, I have also reflected on the value of achievement. A friend and I were conversing about our passions when we were children and what the heck has happened since! I think I would most enjoy the part of this book that discusses originality. Was there anything in here that inspired you to break away from our societal norms? If so, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this book with us; I enjoyed reading your review. Until next time...

"Passion Struck" sounds like a book I would read. It's unfortunate that most societies have lost the ideals of ultimate value and now float with whatever it is that brings a "feel-good moment." I thank John R. Miles for challenging these societal ills and emphasizing intentional living.
