The book's highlights on conflicts between Korea or the East in general with the US is clearly depicted and it actually shows the world in the modern way where by countries relate with each other various matters.

This is a very intriguing novel to read.
The book captures various topics such as love and lust.. Yi is also a very bold person who is able to portray the topics and the theme of the novel.

I would love to read this historical fiction and see how Yi's gold ingot heist goes, but the fact that it's not an easy read means I won't enjoy it, so I will pass it. Congratulations on making it to the BOTD!

‪A wonderfully written historical fiction book that explores the relations between China, Korea, and Japan, as well as their ties to the US. The ending is thrilling, rewarding, and completely unpredictable. I applaud the author

Historical fiction is not my cup of tea but the book seems pretty interesting and full of events that are based on real historical facts. Besides it combines cultures from China, Korea, Japan, and the United States which will definitely be interesting for lots of people. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Interesting perspective on some seldom told historical stories of the far east Asia and its connections with the Americas. Definitely worth the bookshelves.

I'm really intrigued by the historical aspects of this book. I don't know much about Asian history. Although it sounds like a challenging read, it will surely be a captivating one. I'd love to read more!

The Abalone Ukulele seems to be a historical fiction, with the author attempting to unite Japan , Korea and United States of America. This is a brave attempt and as I sampled through the book and read the review, this seems like well done effort. Congratulations on BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

I enjoy action books, and this is one. Combining Japanese, Chinese, and American cultures and geographies must be an amazing blend. The book's positive ratings and reviews also make it worth trying. Congratulations to the author!

Asian history is rarely my type of reading material, but the description of this book intrigued me enough to give it a try and I certainly wasn't disappointed. An interesting storyline, well passed and great writing language, also offer the glimpses to culture and traditions, only to understand that living on the other side of the planet we still are the same people with similar problems. Congrats on well deserved BOTD!
