The accurate, raw, and straight-to-the-point book “No Exaggeration” by Cee Cee Evans deals with themes of relationships, self-discovery, and escaping one's inner darkness. The book is a roller coaster of feelings, from extremely sad to euphoric and free moments.

One of the most remarkable features of this book is the authenticity of the author’s very own heart. Since Catrin Thomas, the protagonist, does not shy away from showing her weaknesses, her story becomes highly comforting and powerful. This level of transparency is very rare and valuable. It facilitates empathy and understanding, as readers can easily connect with the author on a personal level. Due to the honest portrayal of thoughts, emotions, and events in her story, it creates a feeling for the readers that they are speaking with a close friend.

Catrin's portrayal as an almost real person with her own complex inner world sets her apart from fictional characters. Her development within the novel is marked by significant emotional and psychological growth. She developed this passion for personality by assessing both herself and the world around her. The author carefully analyzes her ambiguous wishes and her many problems in relationships, as well as her path to self-identification. It is amazing how the author manages to express complicated feelings. This emotional dimension creates a much deeper and richer story, making this book very special.

However, sometimes the difference between the scenes or chapters looks unexpected and very unnatural. As a result of this, readers might struggle to follow the general story or understand how all these parts may seem connected. While the plot can at times move quite quickly, it also has some tendencies to gloss over events or developments that could have been better developed.

Although the book is quite well-written, a certain number of editing errors are noticeable, such as typos and sometimes grammatical mistakes, but they do not make the book difficult to read.

In conclusion, I rate “No Exaggeration” 4 out of 5 stars. It is a very special memoir because it is so honest and heartbreaking. This book is more than just a story; it opens the world of Catrin Thomas, inviting the reader into her happiness and difficulties while discovering herself. It should be considered that this book is suitable for adults. The main reason for that is the mature language and a lot of adult themes weaved through this novel. Many readers will consider it a deeply emotional and humanistic story, especially the ones who love stories about personal battles or conquests.
