I am glad that in her awakening, her neighbor Esther was there to guide her, as the period must have been filled with confusion. Piper's story is quite interesting. This is a common story among eldest daughters; having to take care of their siblings or parents before they're even old enough to drive. I can only imagine how she felt after discovering she had abilities that were beyond normal. I'm wondering why Piper's boyfriend broke up with her knwoing they will be going to the same college. That must have been very painful. I like the cover of the book, it's very pleasing to look at.
