"E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer is a captivating science fiction narrative centered on the experiences of newlyweds Kelly McBride and Tom Turbulo during their honeymoon in Honduras. While exploring the city separately, Kelly encounters a perilous situation in a quaint shop, inadvertently stumbling upon a terrorist plot aimed at North America. Joined by a team from Senator McBride’s office and the CIA, the couple embarks on a thrilling mission to thwart the impending danger.

This tale seamlessly transitions from a suspenseful thriller to an adrenaline-fueled adventure, showcasing a well-crafted plot and impeccable pacing. The chemistry between Kelly and Tom is palpable, adding layers of genuine romance and humor to the narrative. Their complementary skills, with Tom's background in law enforcement and Kelly's expertise in computers, enhance the effectiveness of their collaborative efforts.

Mercer's writing style is immersive, with vivid descriptions that bring characters and events to life. The gradual buildup of suspense kept me engrossed, eager to uncover the unfolding mysteries. Character development is skillfully executed, with each protagonist exuding authenticity and depth.

I commend Mercer for her meticulous editing, which ensured a seamless reading experience devoid of distractions. While I rate "E M P Honeymoon" 5 out of 5 stars, my admiration for Mercer's storytelling prowess remains unwavering. As a first-time reader of her work, I am eager to delve into more of her novels, particularly those within the McBride series. I found nothing to criticize about the book.

I enthusiastically recommend "E M P Honeymoon" to enthusiasts of thrillers, action, and science fiction, especially those with an affinity for technological themes. Suitable for both adult and teenage audiences, this book offers an exhilarating literary journey that is sure to captivate readers from start to finish. Dorothy May Mercer emerges as a skilled storyteller, and I eagerly anticipate exploring more of her captivating narratives.
