Paul Steven Stone's writing in 'The Snow That Never Fell' is both poignant and relatable. The way he captures the challenges of parenting, divorce, and self-discovery is incredibly authentic, leaving a lasting impression on the reader.

Paul is a good father. It's not easy for a man to take custody of 3 children and also seem to be doing well with them. What drama ensued in Pinewood Derby?

A story about the life of single father with 3 children. Any divorced parent will find this story to be relatable. Despite that, life goes on. A good read for the weekends. Congrats on being the #botd.

The Snow That Never Fell by Paul Steven Stone is a story of a man, Paul, recently divorced and a father of three. His somewhat lonely childhood due to his father's neglect makes him want to be a good father to replace the hole and heal his wounds. It sounds like a beautiful, heartwarming story of a father's struggle to give his children what he never had. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The book has so much to explore, from the challenges of separation and single parenting to the complexities of emotions and the importance of prioritising and dedicating time to children. These elements are woven into a narrative that brims with a captivating plot, making for an engaging and thought-provoking read. Nice review.

"The Snow That Never Fell" captures the journey of a man striving to adjust to being single after a divorce he didn't want. The author, Paul Steven Stone, did a great job capturing the dynamics of the situation.

I like this review, especially how it highlights how children are victimised by poor parenting on instances of divorces due to the character flaws that may arise from the parents conduct after divorce and also how therapy may not always work as we expect it to. I can tell this book is an interesting read for all men just from the review. The twist of single parenting from a masculine perspective is a really rare experience even much more being shared by a man. Great review.

I am very intrigued by the title. What has snow got to do with a derby? Do Paul and Mickey stand a chance at the race? Too bad I was unable to get a free copy of the book. Only the paperback version is available in my area.

This book sounds like a touching story of a man in a difficult life situation. I would be curious to see if these events lead to a growth in the father's character. I have been lucky to not live through a divorce, but a lot of this sounds very familiar from what I've seen some of my friends go through. I think I might enjoy reading this book. Thank you for your insightful review!

This is indeed a novel from a rare perspective as novels focusing on the single-parent experience is usually from the female POV, as the posters above have mentioned. The story flows from the narrator single father's POV and is an emotional, heartfelt story of a father trying to bond with his son over a Derby race project.
However I would not give this book 5/5 but 4 points instead. This is because the narrator is using language a bit too verbose and pretentious for describing emotional context and everyday situations involving family and kids. It sounds unnatural.
This book could benefit from editing.

Paul Peterson seems to be traying his level best to be a dad and raise up his three children. I guess the book has many lessons that readers could glean apart from just enjoying the story itself. I am glad the author's vivid descriptions are able to make the reader understand the motivations of the characters. Many thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review! It would be great to see how Paul copes with the divorce, and Cub Scout's Father-Son Pinewood Derby, full of excitement and drama, promises to be fun. I'm betting Paul and Mickey win despite the challenges. I already got a copy of the book. I like that it sounds like a light read.
