This historical fiction fabulously transports us back to the days of the Vietnam War and offers a glimpse of the events that happened in two countries, and the portrayal of characters tells the rest of the story.

Historical fiction are not everyone's type but this one seems interesting enough. What happened to Rachel and what will happen to Steve and the girl he fell in love with, I have so many questions. Will probably check this out. What an excellent review!

This sounds like such an intriguing story! I'm so curious to find out what happens with Rachel and with Steve Tanner and how their stories are involved with each other. I'm normally not one to read war stories but I think this one is going to be special. Thanks for a great review.

I'm into this melting of various stories and finding the commonality in how they are related to one another. I appreciate the author for crafting a book, such as this one, that's enjoyable and has the readers trying to peace together this puzzle. Congrats to Gavin James for receiving the BOTD honor.

Thank you for your detailed review. The sample was easy to read and understand. Historical fiction isn't a genre I care for, especially when it is that recent. I also don't care for war stories and like you said, I don't care for stories that leave questions unanswered. I hope others will enjoy this book, but I will pass on it.

I am interested on reading the author's descriptions on the Vietnam war and the anti-war protests. The characters seem developed and the stories are filled with conspiracies. I look forward to reading it. Thank you for your review!

Sh*t Happens by Gavin James is a historical fiction with fascinating and insightful depiction of different characters. I generally don't pick this genre, but the book's description and Kirsi's review have made me genuinely curious about Steve, Rachel, and Lien. The history of the Vietnam War and its impact on America and Vietnam will be intriguing to read. I have added it to my reading list. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I'm already fascinated by this story and am keen to read it. I'll take on board what you say about the disappointing ending and focus more on the journey. Thanks for your honest review.

After reading the sample, I then read the review. Having spent my childhood in the seventies and my growing up years in the eighties, any book about the Vietnam Era catches my attention. I very much look forward to reading this book based on the review given, especially the warning about the ending! Thank you!

This book consists of almost 500 pages. The narration was well-structured and clear, and the story was easy to follow. In addition,The ending was abrupt, and many questions were left unanswered. This Book 📖 is Excellent.Historical fiction are not everyone's type but this one seems interesting enough. Thank you for sharing such a detailed and insightful review of "Sh*t Happens" by Gavin L James. Your description of the characters and the intricate plot has piqued my interest in reading the book. It's great to hear that the author skillfully weaves together complex societal and political issues of the time into a compelling narrative. However, it's disappointing to hear that the ending fell short of expectations. Despite this, your review has convinced me to give the book a chance, and I look forward to experiencing the story for myself.

Whoah! A historical fiction story that seem to portray numerous plot twists, my observation..... I agree, as we live through this adventurous journey of life, we stumble a lot of good and bad experiences. But it all lies in the choices we decide to make. What I am interested to know is what happened to the two love birds? Did they ever make anything memorable out if their relationship? What happened to Rachel and her friend? I'll read the book to find out. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

This sounds like another book on War and forbidden love? All in for it. I'm also curious to know where does Rachel fit into the picture? I want to know if she is the girl Spanner falls in love with. And everything about what happens to them during the war.
Lovely review, it generated great curiosity in me.
Congrats to the author on BOTD!
