Wives murdering their husbands for insurance money. Did I just read that? This is by far the most messed up plot I read. And their backstories or what drives them to murder husbands sounds even intriguing. Adding this to my TBR.
Great review and congrats to the author on BOTD.

Giorgio the tailor had quite a scheme going. He took care of the wives' carnal needs while he collected a piece of all the insurance money gathered by the murderous wives. How evil is that? I read a couple of pages of the free sample of this book on Amazon. The story is well written and it does move fast. Thank you for this review. I am adding this book to my bookshelves.

The book attracted me from the first part of the description. I think the story is interesting to say the least. The suspense and the composition of the characters and their backgrounds all make the book a successful choice. The review is do well written and engaging, the reviewer did an amazing job. Congrats on BOTD

Their individual stories are pretty interesting. The reviewer is correct about the title. But to some extent the title is justified as there is extra marital affair that adds to their reason for murdering their respective husband's.Thanks for the detailed review.

The book sounds interesting it is about housewives plotting against their husbands for their insurance money. I would love to read the book and find out how do they get caught and also read the twists and turs of the book.

"The Wicked Wives" by Gus Pelagatti is a gripping historical fiction based on true events. With well-developed characters and a vivid setting, it delves into greed, deception, and the dark side of human nature.

As the title of the book says "Wicked Wives" it aligns with what happens in the story as it is about the housewives who conspire with a local tailor for their husbands insurance money. It sounds like a good read.

I have never read a book inspired by true crime but it definitely sounds interesting to be able to delve into the minds of those that would commit such a crime. I think the title works, as I guessed what the book might be about right away.
