It narrates how Dr. Leah Andrews discovers a deadly virus in the course of her research. The suspense is almost palpable- and that is what really makes it a great read. Rubin knows how to insert precise amounts of medical details into the story such as to make it appear real without making the reader get bored. One gets the feeling that he or she is present in Dr.Andrews’ lab as she races against time while facing some tough moral decisions.
The thing I admired most about this book was its characters’ complexity. Unlike just an intelligent scientist, Dr. Andrews is also dealing with personal problems and moral questions on her own way. This adds more interest to her journey and makes it more relatable.
This pacing: outstanding! Every time you think you got things under control; she throws in another twist leaving one guessing all through! This happens so much when reading the book, making it hard for someone to sleep early in order to see what comes next at every turn of events.
One of the standout parts about “The Seneca Scourge” is that it examines the ethical implications of scientific research. Rubin isn’t afraid to tackle the big questions on progress and responsibility, which gives this story a lot more depth.

Thank you for your insightful review of "The Seneca Scourge." I am glad you enjoyed the blend of medical thriller, mystery, and sci-fi elements, particularly the character development of Sydney and her suspicions towards Casper.
I appreciate your constructive feedback on dialogue and pacing. Your suggestions for enhancing action and gradually developing character relationships are valuable.
Thank you for your high rating and recommendation. I hope your review inspires others to explore Carrie Rubin's thrilling world. I look forward to your thoughts on future works.
