Thank you for this great review. It looks like an insightful and even encouraging book, given the 'Storms' that the author went through and how she managed to cope. I have added this book to my reading list, hoping to read it soon.

I like the way the author has over one storms and did not get defeated by them. I like the point that stroms should be used as stepping stones to navigate success. Meehan's story will serve as a motivation to others to succeed in life despite the hurdles.

Awesome review! The themes of this book are all too timely for me.
She devised a tool called STORMS to help you soar. S stands for stillness, silence, and sadness, while T is for time. O stands for Openness, R for Relationships, M for mindfulness, and S for soaring above the storms.
What a clever acronym!
My biggest takeaway from this book is that helping others can help us heal ourselves. As the author says, this can speed up the healing process.
I’ve been on an extensively long and nuanced healing journey and this is one of the main areas that I need to get stronger in. Therefore, I always welcome being reminded about it.

Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Today's BOTD is a self-help book on how to navigate life's storms and make it through to the other side better than before. Readers of all genres and backgrounds will find the lessons valuable, as we all go through struggles at one point or another. I've downloaded my copy. Thank you! :-)

Annie Meehan's personal experiences and insightful STORMS tool offer valuable lessons for overcoming challenges. I'm intrigued by the emphasis on embracing vulnerability and seeking support from others. This review has definitely piqued my interest, and I'm eager to explore this transformative book!

I think it is important to have a tool that guides us on how to deal with the storms or disruptions that arise in life from time to time. This book sounds like an enlightening guide to not deviate from our objectives and goals when we have to go through tough times.

Your review of "Choose to Soar" has given me a good insight into how the storm (problem) of life can crumble us, but we must choose to succeed at all cost.

Thank you for your excellent review. I would also highly recommend this book to anyone who is struggling and trying to heal from storms they have encountered in their lives. I am not often a fan of self-help books. Sadly, I have ignored the ongoing issues lingering in my life. In sampling the Kindle edition of "Choose to Soar: Navigating Disruption in Business and Life" by professional keynote speaker Annie Meehan, I decided to keep an open mind. Instead of just reading, I accepted Annie's invitation to engage in identifying the personal storms I have faced in my life from the extensive list she had created. Then, I categorized each storm on a scale of 1-5. I was shocked at how many storms I have gone through and am still going through in my personal life. What was more unsettling for me was the realization that in my senior years, I was still trying to meet my psychological needs as measured on "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs" pyramid. I need to explore this book further and look forward to the guidance it will provide to help get my life back on track. "I'm not okay, but I am safe...I'm on my timeline of healing." I choose to soar!

Thank you for a beautiful review of a beautiful book.
We all face storms and most of us get beaten and lose hope by these storms because we feel helpless.
I love the concept of the Storm First Aid kit in Chapter 3.
The author has made this book rather interactive and it is certainly encouraging to go through what she has constructed, considering she has survived some pretty major storms herself.
Congratulations 🎊

I agree with what this author proposes to navigate through the storms in our lives. I believe that by helping others we become pro-active and don't feel so sorry for ourselves. Relying on trusted people is helpful as they will tell us the truth and will not let us isolate ourselves. Being still and mindful provides clarity and calm. Thank you for this informative review. :techie-studyinggray:

I am especially struck by your highlighting of the openness principle, embracing vulnerability and being willing to ask for help from loved ones and professionals. That resonates so much with my own experiences in getting through difficult periods. Too often we try to go it alone out of pride or fear.

I believe everything happens for a reason, and I am learning to trust the process. I know there will be storms along the way, as there are with every process. Seeing that Choose to Soar: Navigating Disruptions in Business and Life delves into this topic makes me want to read it as some form of hope.

Nice review!
The topic of the book is absolutely amazing. Choose to soar from all the problems in life. This book probably will give solutions for all our problems. It's true. It's the person who fly over all the problems and soar wins. Choose to soar you will see beautiful things in the world. Helping others will heal our problems is the most important message from this book I like.
Thanks for this review.
Congratulations.
