Thank you for the insightful review. The book is very informative, it captures the importance of friendship. It encourages us to fully use the opportunities around us with much gratitude because life is very uncertain. Congrats!

The artwork in this book is amazing! Jonah had to go through a lot, and it seems the author was able to show the struggling using the graphics in this novel. Thanks for the review!

Thank you for your excellent review. I agree with your assessment that this is a comic book with contents far beyond anything I might conceive. The writer and illustrator are very gifted for this genre. The comic book features competition and engineering espionage over an air traffic control system, a band reunion involving some of the engineers, and the murder of the only woman in the band with two possible suspects. It is unique and thrilling. This genre is novel for me. It took a lot of work for me to follow (especially on my Kindle), and not being used to this genre. The story was challenging but also very entertaining.

Love mixed with mystery and crime is the central theme of this illustrated comic book. The sample was very captivating and the illustrations were so good it made me want to keep reading! Congrats on BOTD!! I found it slow too in the beginning but I’m happily to read that it gets better, like you pointed out! Great review!!

“Sonora Pass” by Jaime Olmos and Kevin Nichols is a story about a reunion in Montreal but the theme of this book is the importance of good friendship. Esteban formed a band with his good friends called Jabberwocky. Esteban really liked Celia who was single and he wanted to build a relationship with her. Esteban invites all of his old friends to the reunion but is concerned about Rodrigo since they had a falling out when Celia was dating both of them. The sample was illustrations with bubbles for the conversations. The plot was somewhat confusing because of some communications in Spanish without an English translation. Esteban must have done something bad since his friend Jonah conducted an investigation to try and vindicate Esteban.

Esteban discusses his divorce with Rachel before going to Montreal for his new job. His friend, Jonah, joins him. They both meet Celia at a Montreal hotel. After a year, Esteban, Jonah, Raul, and Rodrigo meet for a band reunion in Montreal. Things take an unexpected turn at this reunion. This is a crime- and mystery-laced novel. I liked reading your review, but I did not like the illustrations much.

I love book about general topics. Friendship is known to everyone and therefore, is interesting for many. I would like to see what the author thinks about friendships and what valuable lessons we can take from this book as friends. Good friends really make our lives better.

A comic book that portrays friendship, romance, crime, and mystery. One of the best parts is the illustrations that convey the plot of the story in such an engaging way.

Sonora Pass is not just your typical comic book fare. The story deftly blends more mature themes like divorce, career stagnation, and even criminal behavior into what initially seems like a nostalgic tale of friends getting together.

A very complete and delightful review. I really enjoy reading about relationships, especially friendship. Friends are a big part of our life and heart and of course it would be a great experience to live other people's life by reading.
I would definitely read this one book.
Thank you so much!

Graphic Novels and Comics never were my cup of tea, possibly because my country was deprived this cultural phenomena in my childhood years. I find their stories quite educational even though mostly they reference to superheroes. Anyway, thanks for gifting the book and congrats with BOTD!
