I go more often to the library, given that there aren't that many large bookshops with the titles that I am interested in. Also, I prefer to borrow books, so that they don't accumulate on my desk in a big pile! I know that for some people it's a beautiful aesthetic, but personally, having many objects on my desk really distracts me!

Bookstore (and book cafe), hands down.
There's a small library in my neighborhood and I browse around to find some gems, tho. Just not enough books to choose from.

I personally prefer to visit the library more often than a bookstore. Libraries offer a wide range of resources, including books, e-books, and access to databases, which I find more convenient and cost-effective.

Bookstore, because there's more freshness here. Some libraries in my area have somewhat outdated and worn-out book collections.

I go to the bookstore more often than the library. I think for me it's the idea of owning a book versus borrowing. When I know that a book is mine I can enjoy it more. When I am borrowing it, the idea of having to give it back is saddening.

I work less than a block away from the library, so I go often, up to four times a week. I live in a town with no bookstore, so I rarely see the inside of one. This makes my husband (and our bank account) very happy. After all, if I bought all the books I borrow from the library, we would never pay the mortgage. That being said, I could build a house out of the books. Hmmm - if I could figure out a way to make it stand up in our climate, I may consider that.

To me, bookstores have always been my safe place. Compare to our school library, or even the city’s library, bookstores offer more greater variety of the books i live. Such as fiction, romance, fantasy, thriller, and etc. So yes, I would always pick bookstore over libraries.

I go to the bookstore. Libraries are full of old books that are sometimes boring plus I like buying books as it cements the book's value in my mind

I used to go to the bookstore more but I've turned into a library person. It's important to support local libraries and I also can't afford to buy every single book that I want to read, nor do I have the space for them. I'd rather read things and only buy the books that are really important to me and I want to own.

I haven’t gone to a book store in like a year, I almost exclusively use the library. I read too much to afford buying my books.

I go to bookstores more than library. There are only few public library in my hometown and most of them didn't have a lot of diverse collection. So I choose to save my money and then buy second books in the public market or e-commerce.

I tend to visit the library more often because it's closer.

I'm a university student, so there's a me-shaped hole in the campus library. Seriously though, I go about three times a week. Lovely ambience where I can focus and get things done. Plus, my library recently installed those floating egg shaped chairs. So comfortable!

Bookstores, not so much. I go every once in a while with friends and just spend hours browsing.
