Meg Nocero’s book, Butterfly Awakens, is part of the nonfiction genre. The theme of the book is grief. The book showcases the process of grief the author has been through in order to find her inner purpose. It is important to note that if you are someone who is dealing with grief yourself and it is still raw or a sensitive topic for you, this book may not be for you as it can become overwhelming and unsettling. In this book, the author not only describes her grief but also turns part of her process into a practical guide, and I strongly believe a lot of people struggling the same way as the author may find some use out of this incredible book.

In this book, we are introduced to the life of Meg Nocero, the author of this incredible emotional book. The book is formatted into two parrots, the first being solely a self-help guide, and the second being an emotional, inspirational story. The experiences that the author writes about allow me to feel a rollercoaster of emotions. For example, Meg discusses how she lost her mother to breast cancer. This flared the emotions in me. First, the idea of her losing her mother is one that no one should have to face. I can only imagine the hurt, sadness, and trauma she must have faced. Furthermore, I must send my deepest sympathies to the author for the loss of her mother. The way that Meg discusses how the loss affected her and how she uses it to slowly find herself again without her mother by her side was very emotional and brave of her, and for that, I must commend her. If you want to understand the experiences of Meg and how she slowly overcame grief and found herself again, you should get yourself a copy of this book.

There are many positive attributes to this book. For insurance, the language presented in this book is clear, easy to comprehend, and precise. Furthermore, I found no errors, either typographical, grammatical, or otherwise, proving that the book is well-edited and also contributing to my pleasant reading experience. The writing style in this book is powerful and emotional, and I liked that. I found myself glued to the book, and I loved it. I adored the bravery that the author had shown in writing this book. I applaud her for that.

In relation to negative aspects, I do not find anything to criticise. The book is emotional, personal, and touching, to say the very least. I felt the author's pain, and I liked this. There were no errors, which is why I loved every part of the book. It is clear how great of a writer Meg is.

In summary, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. This book deserves a full rating. The above positives discussed and the fact that she has shown bravery and courage only make me proud to have read this book. I can only hope that others in a similar situation to Meg will find some use out of the book. I think that the book resonates with young adults who are experiencing grief and do not know how to return to their natural selves.
