I agree with the fact children think their daddy is a superhero i mean they really are. I would still consider my dad as a superhero too for the things he does for us. Even as a non-Christian I loved the book, it was adorable. Thanks for your super insightful review.

Sounds delightful and very endearing. Children think the world of their parents and I believe it is great when relationships between generations hold true and solid. Unfortunately, not everyone is that lucky. Personally, if anyone was my superhero, it would be my mother. The book brings forth values that will serve well in the future and I gratefully congratulate the author on BOTD!

Dozier's Christian children's book introduces the reader to a young girl named Ridgelee. She thinks that her dad is a superhero because he has superpowers. He teaches her about his boss, Jesus, and how the Holy Spirit provides them with superpowers such as courage, love, and prayer. It's refreshing to see such a loving, caring, and involved father figure in a children's book. Thank you for the encouraging book review.

How I Became a Superhero by Chelsea Dozier offers a delightful blend of superhero storytelling and Christian values, emphasizing the importance of fatherhood and faith in a captivating manner. With charming illustrations and a heartwarming narrative, this book earns a solid recommendation for Christian children who admire comic book heroes and look up to their fathers as role models.

It is the dream of every child to become a superhero. Chelsea Dozier colourfully writes the book not only to attract children’s attention but also to use it as a platform to show children in the world the need and purpose of salvation through Christ in their lives.

What a great review!!! This sounds like a book every parent should read, especially when they still have small kids and they still busy mending their kids into decent human beings. Parents don't always realize that what they do affect their kids whether it's good or bad, and I think this book will be a good reminder. Congrats on BOTD.

Thank you for your great review. I also liked the book and illustrations. In addition, I was glad too that they mentioned that kids watch what all parents do and say and that even parents aren't perfect, but they try hard. I enjoyed how they told the story in a modern way that kids would understand easier. I added it to my list of books that I have read with a perfect score too.

The cover of this book is cute; I think it fits well with the Christian theme. Whether parents know it or not, their children will follow what they do and what they don't do; this book points this out in a non-judgemental way. Thanks for the review!

It's great when a book made for children can also be beneficial for their parents! Some books are made mainly to entertain or educate our children, but it sounds like this one has some lessons and gentle reminders for the adults in our children's lives as well.

Thank you for your review. You mentioned that you would recommend this book to Christian children, but it is for children who do not know Jesus and his role in their lives. Because of the brevity of the content, it reads more like a gospel tract that we used to hand out to unbelievers in the 70s to get them to convert to Christianity. They were often in cartoon format with a very simplified explanation of the Gospel message. The superpower concept is familiar, too. One of the biggest Broadway shows to portray Jesus in the '70s was Jesus Christ, Superstar, which influenced me to embrace Christianity in my late teens. Although Chelsea Dozier is the author, her daughter, Ridgelee, tells the story of her Super Dad, whose example brought her to faith in Christ.
