Inventor Damien Minsky creates an AI entity named EMA to combat environmental issues, but a young attendee, Jason Webb, discovers deeper conflicts at one of Minsky's conferences. As Webb delves into the truth behind Minsky's intentions, readers are left wondering: Will EMA be humanity's salvation or its downfall?

"EMA" excels in its portrayal of a near-future world ravaged by climate change, offering a plausible and thought-provoking vision of society's potential future. Grey's exploration of corporate greed and its impact on global consumption adds depth to the narrative, creating a compelling backdrop for the story. From an editorial standpoint, "EMA" demonstrates strong pacing, effective editing, and solid grammar throughout, ensuring a smooth and engaging reading experience.

For me, the only downside I can really think of is that the book is a bit short, as it could have further developed its plot threads and characters.

However, even the potential criticism of "EMA" being short can still be viewed as a strength. The book maintains a focused and cohesive narrative. The concise cast of characters, such as Jason and Lidia, allows the story to highlight its core themes without losing its direction. Additionally, the exploration of future technology and the Metaverse is well-integrated into the plot, enhancing the novel's realism and intrigue.

Overall, "EMA" deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 for its skillful execution of familiar sci-fi themes, fresh perspective, and thought-provoking narrative.
