Re: Review of EMA

Post by Novvaa001 »

Yes, I also liked the way the story made great emphasis on how the world can be affected by climate change and AI. The conspiracy theories with the protesters being against a world that enables the use of AI, believing that it will dictate the climate and help the rich more than the middle class or poor. People are not always comfortable with something new being a major part of our society. This book is very realistic on this portion because it is happening in real time- right now. The main character Jason, being so in awe with the founder of EMA Damien Minsky is what leads people to sometimes get caught up in the fairytale side of things; instead of viewing it in it's actual state.

Jason seemed in the beginning, to be so invested in escaping reality. Hence, why he has a fondness for his best friend Sherlock because they can relate in the real world realm of things and also there is another side to their friendship where reality is irrelevant. Which is what nowadays, most people who stream or game throughout their time-love to do. To escape from their real world issues or real life in general. I completely understand seeing the benefits of being enveloped in the "metaverse" in this book.

However, I also understand the protestors such as Lidia, who are apprehensive on the rich and AI intelligence taking a huge role on topics such as climate. It is a bit eerie when you think about it in a sense but technology has been helping us with many things such as figuring out the weather forecast for the week. Of course, in this book, AI would be involved in a much deeper scope but again, I understand the issue on both diverse sides of this spectrum.

The book is a good read from the portion that I read and I admire how the author is somewhat looking into the future of what our real world may face in the coming years. Especially, with AI intelligence on the rise.

EMA is a thought provoking sci-fi book, that is timely set perhaps to help save our depleted planet. The drastic climate changes with extremes of the weather. It's True EMA is a stand out book.

Anytime books are written about future events, it is always catastrophic, which is a scary notion to think about. I do love reading books like this though and reading the ways in which the remnant of human race tries to beat the odds and survive. This book would definitely be on my to-read list.

While science-fiction books have never appealed to me, I feel that Ema has the potential of pulling my interest to this genre especially on covering topics such as AI and climate change which are very close to my heart. The fact that it is exceptionally edited makes it even more appealing. Have added it to my reading list.

Ai to address climate change is a nice concept. Explosions and cyberattacks intertwined with conspiracy theories sound interesting. Jason’s character evolution is impressive too. He starts to question what he looks up to. This book’s plot makes me want to read it. That was an engaging review.

"EMA" by Aian D. Gray is a book whose plot takes place in the summer of 2084. Just then, the world was hit by relentless heatwaves. Jason, an admirer of technology, tries to study more deeply EMA, a sophisticated AI that can help in case of environmental crisis.

Would love to know if the EMA was able to handle the climate crisis and what role Jason has to play in this book. Congrats on BOTD and kudos to the author.

An amazing review thank you!
An interesting book concept!
I like that it is set in the future, dealing with potential future problems due to climate change, which is not very far-fetched in terms of the status of current climate change matters.
I am keen on finding out what Jason and Lidia endure and whether they are successful in their missions.

This is a nice, enthralling book, and I am fascinated by the fact that Jason was able to start questioning the place of unchecked AI potential and still fight for conservation. Such a futuristic world is not too far, as AI is developing rapidly and environmental degradation and global warming are on the rise.
Many thanks for the review.

There are very few futuristic books available that are actually realistic. This book seems like one. I would love to buy this book, and I don't think I would regret that decision. Congratulations on BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

It seems AI is slowly invading everywhere, stories wouldn't be the exception. This book seems to have the formula to most mystery stories with the involvement of AI setting it apart slightly. Good review though.

Nice review! Artificial Intellegence and climate change are two very important and very current topics in today's society. I am sure in the future, like 2084, they will be even more important.

"EMA" by Aian D. Grey. An interesting book talks about the issue of climate change causing world plagued by relentless heatwaves. Artificial intelligence is at its importance to the world at large. We have placed too much faith in AI solutions risking and having issues with our environment. Congrats on your #BOTD.
