East Wind by Jack Winnick is an action-packed thriller that begins with an explosive event in Ed Cooper's condo. It's an exciting thriller from the start. Uri and Hakim's face-off was depicted beautifully. Lara and Uri's first book in the series will capture many thrill-seeking fans. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The synopsis of "East Wind" presents a gripping espionage thriller with a unique blend of characters like Uri Levin and Lara Edmond facing imminent threats from Hezbollah operatives. The author's ability to intertwine personal and secret intelligence stories between characters adds depth and realism to the narrative, elevating it beyond the typical spy novel. The promise of a climactic confrontation and the mention of a sequel, "Devil Among Us," heightens the anticipation for readers. Nice review.

This spy thriller grips with its multi-dimensional characters and intense plot. The narrative's fluidity, shifting between protagonists and antagonists, adds depth, keeping the story unpredictable. The characters' backgrounds are rich, offering insight into their motivations. I particularly enjoyed the moments of respite, where personal connections and revelations enhance the tension. Overall, it's a compelling read that delves beyond the typical spy novel clichés.

One of the characters that sounds really mesmerizing and I cannot wait to see what he chooses to do is Walid Jahangiri. My curiosity is already piqued to see how Uri and Lara will also work together to put an end to the catastrophic threat, which definitely has several repercussions. Many thanks for the fascinating review.

This review outlines a gripping espionage thriller involving Israeli and American agents teaming up to prevent a nuclear attack by Hezbollah operatives on U.S. soil. The characters are well-defined, including Uri Levin from the Israeli Mossad and Lara Edmond from the FBI, along with Walid Jahangiri, who faces a moral dilemma after being indoctrinated by Hezbollah. The novel promises an intense and suspenseful read, with tension building up to a climactic showdown. The plot explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the consequences of extremist ideologies. Overall, it sounds like an engaging story with high stakes and compelling characters.

While 'East Wind' has an intriguing plot and well-developed characters, it is crucial to recognize the complicated political and social realities that underpin the struggle described in the novel. As a supporter of Palestinian rights, I believe it is critical to recognize the complex motivations of people like Walid Jahangiri, who are frequently motivated by real grievances and desires for justice in the face of tyranny.

While the novel provides an exciting story, it is important to remember that real-life challenges, such as those faced by Palestinians living under occupation, cannot be reduced to a mere backdrop for amusement. As readers, we should aim to engage critically with tales that address delicate geopolitical problems, ensuring that varied perspectives and voices are accurately and sympathetically reflected.

I admire how committed Uri Levin and Lara Edmond are to their jobs. Walid was enlightened when he travelled abroad to study. Education is very important. Congrats on the book of the day.

Hi @bouchra EL KHARRAZ, I just read your comments on the official review of "East Wind" by Jack Winnick and I agree with your feelings about the Palestinians and that there causes can drive both sides of a conflict. The killing of innocent people should never be justified no matter where it occurs or the reasons the killers cite for the carnage. Regarding the current Gaza war I do not support the Hamas killing of more than 1,200 innocent Israelis nor the Israelis taking revenge by killing thousands of innocent Palestinians. The Hamas terrorists that started this war by killing innocent Israelis should be brought to justice by a court of law and if the punishment is death than so be it. We do not live in an eye for an eye world so the only justification for killing these terrorists in the tunnels of Gaza or in the hospitals where they were hiding would be a gun battle between the Israeli soldiers and the Hamas terrorists. I want a permanent ceasefire and I support the two nation proposal where the Palestinians would have their own country. @Mrlefty0706

An espionage thriller revolving around two agents trying to thwart a terrorist ploy sounds exciting. Smooth switching perspectives, great background stories, and good plot add to the thrill. That it was well edited is another plus. I am not fond of An espionage tales or thriller based on terrorist threats, but I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review!

"East Wind" by Jack Winnick is an espionage thriller centered around Uri Levin, a member of the Israeli Mossad, and Lara Edmond, an FBI agent. They team up to thwart Hezbollah operatives' plans to carry out a nuclear bombing on U.S. soil. The story also follows Walid Jahangiri, who is torn between his indoctrination by Hezbollah and his newfound understanding of Western culture. As tensions rise, the novel delivers a gripping narrative filled with suspense and personal revelations, earning it a 4-star rating from me for its engaging plot, well-developed characters, and lack of graphic content or offensive language.
