I can't agree less with you.Pandora10 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2022, 08:40 I would consider Annabelle anything but a failure. It is unfortunate that she was not able to speak up about it at the time, but during the 80s and 90s in England, I can understand the reticence. Her experience, as awful as it was, led to a conviction that was long overdue. Hopefully, the organization Safe4Athletes has made a positive for many others. I hope her story helps others to speak up.

It’s heartening to hear that you found the message of overcoming adversity to be the most compelling aspect of the book. Indeed, the resilience displayed by individuals like Annabelle serves as an inspiration to all, transcending the boundaries of the sporting arena.
I appreciate your candid feedback regarding the minor grammatical errors and the timing of the psychological analysis within the narrative. Constructive criticism like yours helps authors like Katherine continually refine their craft and storytelling techniques.
Your recommendation of “Rescue Me” as a read not only for athletes but also for anyone who has faced trauma underscores the universality of its themes. Katherine’s dedication to supporting others through Safe4Athletes is truly commendable and speaks volumes about her character beyond her achievements in sports.
Once again, thank you for your insightful review and for recognizing the value of Katherine’s story. Your words serve as a testament to the profound impact literature can have on individuals from all walks of life.
