The cover and name of the book don't suggest romance, but from my reading of the review on OBC, It is clear that the book provides an interesting narrative. Therefore, the book may be an enjoyable read for romance lovers. The review gives a clear view on the book as it is well written. Congrats on BOTD

Que's exploration of his romantic life intertwined with the stories of these four women sounds like it could offer a rich narrative exploring relationships, personal growth, and the complexities of human connection.

“The Cackling of the Crows” is a captivating romantic suspense novel that takes you back to the hip hop era of the 80s and 90s in Brooklyn, NY. The book is deeply immersed in the hip hop culture, with a musical backdrop of rap music from that time, creating a sense of nostalgia and anticipation. The characters are relatable, and the recurring crow references add an interesting layer to the story.
If you have an interest in hip hop culture, romance, and a touch of nostalgia, this book might be a great pick for you. :tiphat:

Thank you for your well-written review.

"The Cackling of the Crows" sounds like an intriguing blend of mystery, romance, and humor! Que's encounters with the crows seems to add an extra layer of curiosity to the narrative. It's great to hear that the book kept you engaged with its conversational tone and occasional humor. The educational aspects are a nice touch too, seemingly offering insights into various subjects.

While the shifting focus between different aspects of Que's life may have been a bit distracting, it's wonderful that the book was well-edited overall.

Thanks for sharing your review!

I have always been intrigued by crows. I am curious to read what Que thinks about them. I like the casual style of narration. It will be interesting to discover how Que relates to four different women. The Hip-Hop theme in the book is icing on the cake.

I am interested in seeing how hip-hop plays a role in this romance story. However, I am disappointed that it is no longer available in audio. Thank you for your informative review.

Wonderful review! There's one aspect I particularly appreciate, which truly speaks volumes about the book.
You mentioned: "One minute we are talking about his life with Winnie, then the next, we are discussing the lady who invited him over to eat…" It feels like you're engaged in a conversation with the author through his book. Experiencing this connection with a book is truly remarkable.

Finally, I admire how Que always mentioned that he wanted the book to go viral so that he could get his parents what they deserve.
That's just adorable.
I didn't quite appreciate the author referencing people he borrows a quote or two from. He kept saying apologies to this person or apologies to that person after borrowing a quote from them. Also, I think this story swayed in different directions. One minute we are talking about his life with Winnie, then the next, we are discussing the lady who invited him over to eat then we move to K.P. I had to keep backtracking to understand what was being discussed. This affected my smooth reading too. Aside from these, this book was exceptionally well edited. I found no errors in it, which is a plus.
I get what you mean. It's awful when the reading spell breaks.

This seems like such a charming read! Thank you!
