The plot twists come naturally, but they are never completely shocking. Foresee everything, and you might end up with unexpected twists. Gilbert does a perfect job of portraying these struggles. Congrats on #BOTD

"The Prescription" by K.C. Gilbert is a riveting legal thriller that masterfully intertwines the personal journey of a young lawyer, Casey Cooper, with a hard-hitting critique of the pharmaceutical industry's role in the opioid crisis. The narrative is compelling, the characters are well-drawn, and the book's exploration of a timely issue is insightful and thought-provoking. A highly recommended read for those who enjoy thrillers with a social conscience.

It sounds like a gripping legal thriller with a timely and important theme. The protagonist's journey to hold opioid manufacturers accountable for societal harm seems both intriguing and relevant. With a perfect rating and high praise from reviewers, it seems like a compelling read for anyone interested in legal matters or social issues.

This book seems interesting especially because it is about an addictive pain killer. However, it feels slow paced and I don't really enjoy it. Thanks for the engaging review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting medical thriller following Chris and her friend, Shannon, as they attempt to help Shannon recover from addiction but also dealing with a pharmaceutical company that might be involved in Shannon's health recovery. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

The review did nothing to pique my interest in reading this book. However, the description on Amazon was much more developed and intriguing. Still, I may pass on this book because opioid misuse hits close to home with me. But I sampled a few pages, and it looks as if Author Gilbert has penned a well-written novel.

Law and pharmaceutics - both are quite complicated fields, but according to the description, it looks like the author managed to write an interesting and gripping thriller using them on a very understandable for readers level. Definitely look forward to reading the book and congratulate with BOTD!
