I love seeing Delvin use his magic for good to help those he cares about. It seems that I would have to read the first book in the series to understand the events in this one, however. Thanks for the review!

Adding elements like magical stones with abilities to manipulate and communicate is a new approach to the magic genre, which gives the world more depth and mysteriousness at the same time.

The evolution of Delvin from an apprentice to an adventurer soaks the reader in, while Princess Jarla's hard-nosedness allows them to work as a team. Congrats on #BOTD

Another important aspect utilized by Stead is the development of minor characters like Nippy, who at first may appear rather insignificant but, further down the line, become more important, adding another dimension to the book.

Thank you for your inclusive review on "The Three Card Trick" by Charles Townsend. I haven't read the first book as of yet but am glad to know that this one is also a stand alone book. Amazon has this book temporarily for free so I have put it on my shelf to read and look forward to the new adventure it has that I see in your review. Congratulations once again to the author for BOTD.

Delvin's mesmerizing magic tricks, which add an extra layer of excitement to the plot. Additionally, the introduction of new characters breathes fresh life into the story. Nippy, in particular, shines as a beacon of selflessness, evolving from a seemingly minor character into a pivotal figure in the narrative.

When I saw the words The Three Card Trick, I thought it was a poker book or something to do with gambling but later found out it was by Charles Townsend who was a magician- It was a book of magic. That didn't disappoint me. I remembered the first book and was excited once again. I loved the first book too, so I'm eager to read this one. Thank you for the amazing review.
