After reading your review, I can’t wait to read these Charles Townsend books! Delvin sounds like quite an interesting character. I like the way that you point out that the author is more descriptive of the characters in the second book and how it must add to the reading experience! Thank you for an informative review!

It appears the Magicians' Guild was not going to go down easily, and I am happy that Delvin is still up to the task. Certainly, anyone who has read the first installment will have their expectation raised, and I am glad that Charles Townsend surpassed it. I look forward to reading the book and journeying with the new characters, together with the familiar ones.
Many thanks for the amazing review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

Book two of the Illusions of Power series does not disappoint. The great review of "The Three Card Trick" by Charles Townsend tells the story of how the reviewer was so excited to be able to review book two in the series and they found it thrilling!
The second book follows the story of Delvin after the demise of Borlock. Delvin, Jarla and their friends need to stay alive and the adventure unfolds! Old and new characters are in the pages of book two and their adventures will have you turning page after page with a smile. Hurry and enjoy book two which earned 4 out of 4 stars before book three is published!

Wow, 'The Three Card Trick' by Charles Townsend sounds like an absolutely thrilling adventure. The idea of inheriting magical equipment and embarking on a quest to save powerful cities has me hooked already. I can imagine the tension and excitement as Delvin fights to protect Princess Jarla and bring peace to Argent and Hengel.

The combination of magic, danger, and high-stakes adventure sounds like the perfect recipe for an exciting read. I'm curious to see how Delvin uses his inherited magical equipment, especially the magic stone, to outwit other magicians and save Princess Jarla.
