“The Three Card Trick” by Charles Townsend is the next book in the Delvin the Magician series. When Borlock was killed in the “Magician’s Secret” by a Black Magician Delvin inherited all of his magic equipment including a magic stone which gave Delvin the power to influence the thoughts of others and communicate with other magicians. The Magician’s Guild have decided to capture two powerful cities, Argent and Hengel and using their magic stones they have created a riot in Argent’s castle square and the prince was beheaded. Delvin once again has to be the hero and use his magic stone to bring back peace to the region. Princess Jarla was kidnapped, and Devlin would try to save her. Book 1 was a fantastic journey and this book exceeded expectations. This book improved on the character development and added a few new characters including Nippy, a likeable man that was always willing to help others. I found the sample a story that kept me on the edge of my seat. The book is excellent, and I look forward to reading the entire story.

One aspect that stood out to me was the improved character descriptions. In the first book, I struggled to visualize the characters, but in this installment, Townsend masterfully painted vivid portraits of each character, making them feel more tangible and real. It's evident that a lot of care went into fleshing out these personalities

Having read the first book, I keep asking myself whether he was set up in the first book? This second book proves that he was innocent since.

This sounds like such an interesting book filled with magic, fun and adventure. I'd surely try the first one so that I can come back and read the second installment and see how Delvin will bring back peace in the cities. Congrats on BOTD.

The Three Card Trick by Charles Townsend is another adventurous book following the series The Magician's Secret. I like the plot and story in the book. I like that there are new characters as well and they're all accounted for. One of my concerns for the previous book was seeing the magic in it I am positive this book will meet all expectations I have about it. Thanks for the review and Congratulations to the author on BOTD

I have read the first part. And I liked the content. This second part looks intriguing and appealing. Congratulations on the BOTD award. The review above has correctly mentioned all the rectifications that the first book required.

The adventures of Delvin the Magician continue in this book along with Princes Jarla. This time, he has to use the stone to save two cities. Will he be successful or fail. He also has to protect the princess Jarla. I greatly enjoyed reading your review. Congratulations on making a book of the day

'The Three Card Trick' by Charles Townsend is the second book that follows Devlin on his magical journey. When magician Borlock dies, Devlin inherits all his magic equipment including the magic stone. This allows Devlin to communicate with all the magicians and see their thoughts. Congrats on #BOTD.

Adventure, yes. But I'm not quite sure if I'm interested in this book yet. I commend the author's use of good description of character in this book. I also commend him for bagging a perfect rating.

I like that the book is said to include action, thrill, and adventure. I think I've come across the first book of this series. It'll be nice to read both books since they come with good recommendations. Delvin also sounds like a fun character to read about.

I enjoyed the book on what I did read of it, the setting is good old-school but magical, the way the story line is plotted out keeps it interesting. And the fairy tale of the prince and princess is cute as well.
