I now love reading magic books but one thing I've realized is that those wicked magicians can be really vicious. I hope Delvin and his friends won at the end.

"The Magician's Secret" caught my attention and has been on my reading list for a while. Leaning that there is a third book makes me regret not reading it already. I hope this book lives up to the captivating plot and well-developed characters that made the first book earn its great reputation.

My apology. The genre of this book "The Magic Lantern" by Charles Townsend - Book 3 illusions of power , is not my cup of tea. I have never been a fan but the two words [Charles Townsend] are giving me an image of a famous writer, somehow. I am not a fan of Harry Potter and thus the same genre of "The Magic Lantern". I am a fan of "Sherlock Holmes". The Magic Lantern is filled with names inter-twined with many descriptives of which a 59 year old find it hard to "digest" and "swallow" and not to mention "remember", and to follow the flow of the whole story line need a "superman"'s power. I salute the writer with such fluid flow of narratives and give you a 3 out of 5 star for the great amount of effort exerted and I salute again.

Thank you for sharing your insightful review of "The Magic Lantern" by Charles Townsend. I appreciate the way you highlighted the author's skill in maintaining a smooth flow and engaging pacing throughout the book. It's also commendable that the author provided a summary of the previous books, allowing new readers to easily dive into the story.

Your observation about the focus on Delvin as the main character is interesting. While it would have been beneficial to explore the other characters in more depth, it's reassuring to know that it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the story.

I wholeheartedly agree with your takeaway message of perseverance and not giving up on one's goals. It's inspiring to see Delvin and his friends face numerous challenges but continue to move forward.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting fantasy story and the third installment in the series as the young Delvin attempts to prevent evil wizards from taking over two cities. Will he succeed? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

The Magic Lantern seems like an exciting book. I'm interested in finding out how the story will end and how Delvin will deal with the pesky magicians in this book. It's unfortunate that the author didn't focus on other characters in this book. Hopefully the book will have a good ending.

The review is so refreshing and well written. Delvin and his friends continue to fight magic with magic and do not give up, and the book is a fictional book that achieves many of its goals, the most important of which is the pleasure of reading. Congrats on BOTD!

This is a great review, Ria! I read the first Chapter, and I also noticed that it takes us straight into action, with Delvin and his Rabbit Freda rescuing Princess Jarla from the black magicians. I think the focus on Delvin you mention in the review would do fine with me, as long as Rabbit Freda accompanies him! :)

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how Delvin will be able to prevent the two magicians Argent and Hengel from taking over the powerful cities and if he succeeded in permanently stopping the two.

The magicians Delvin stands up to are really determined, trying again. Despite all the resistance, Delvin still didn't give up. That is one key takeaway. Congrats on botd!!

'Official Review: The Magic Lantern' by Charles Townsend provides the background information about the science fiction narrative. It is a helpful knowledge for new readers. The point that the book takes readers on a crazy journey to find out if the magicians will successfully claim the powerful cities is worth mentioning in the review. Readers would see the protagonist grow more confident as a magician. Also, as mentioned in the book, we learn more about magicians and understand their motivations and goals from this book. Learning from this book that readers should take away the idea of never giving up on their goals was great!

I am looking foraward to being part of this author's imagination, fantasy is where the real magic happens. Joining in this tale of magic, daring and resilience is such a trip. Delvin will overcome, in these fantasy worlds, good has to win.

See, I love Delvin, and I thought Jarla had too much presence in the first 2 books, so I'm thrilled to hear that Delvin is finally the star of the book. I'm even keener to read it now.
