This review provides a glimpse into Jeanne Tiberio's book, "Helpers Anonymous," narrated by Ashley Gatti. It highlights the author's journey through Muscle Dystrophy and her interactions with Personal Care Attendants (PCAs), revealing shocking yet intriguing stories that shed light on the diverse nature of people and the adverse effects of drug abuse among PCAs. Despite the engaging content, the reviewer finds the narration lacking in catchiness due to attempts at voice impressions. Nonetheless, they rate the audiobook 5 out of 5 stars, praising its compelling narratives and valuable life lessons, making it a recommended read for memoir enthusiasts and a source of inspiration for those facing bullying or contemplating drug use.

Definitely not my cup of tea, because I have more than enough firsthand experience of providing home care to disabled women and have no desire to look at someone else's tragedy and suffering. Sorry, I prefer to skip this book, but congratulations with BOTD, anyway!

Imagining being a writer within the book, surely it's not easy to accept and fight against life's injustices. As a non-fiction book, the premise of this book is intriguing because I want to hear about Jeanne's experience with her PCA, including the discussion of drug abuse mentioned. Reading your review makes me even more eager to read this book. Thank you for writing this. What a great review.
Your Sincerely

This sounds like a worthwhile read, although it's not typically the book you'd find on my shelf. Still, I applaud the author for getting her story out there. Congrats on BOTD.

The stories the author shares in this book seem shocking, moving and interesting. In addition to her meetings with her personal care assistants (PCA), she offers teachings about the negative effects of drug use and bullying towards people with disabilities.

"Helpers Anonymous" by Jeanne Tiberio is a book in which Jeanne talks about her life and journey from being healthy to suffering from Muscle Dystrophy (MD). A good part of the stories in the book were both interesting and shocking.

I'm interested in learning about the relationship between the author and all the caregivers, as well as all the things that happened behind the scenes. I would also like to know more about how the author managed to be the boss and patient at the same time.

The fact that the book recounts a disabled person's firsthand experience with personal care attendants caught my attention, and it was further piqued when the reviewer mentioned how Jeanie did not let herself be subjected to bullying. If it's available in ebook or physical copy, I'd love to read it someday.

I'm not a fan of memoirs but the review is well written. But I'm sure a lot of people will find the stories of the author's encounters with personal care attendants very interesting and eye-opening. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The fact that the author is bold enough to narrate her heartbreaking journey is a clear indication of how inspiring the book is. Maybe someone out there suffering will regain hope from the book; in fact, I guess it was the author's intention. Nice review too.
