The imagery on the cover appears to have little to do with the book's subject matter at first sight, even if you haven't read it yet. When I first looked at the book cover, I didn’t understand the connection between the story and the cover. It is a calming cover because the colors are kind of muted and dull. However, there is a lot to it with the train, businesses, and pollution coming from them. It somewhat works for the book, but I feel that something different may have been better.
