Life comes with many challenges, but it is how we react to them that shapes us as humans. Paul is very honest about his experiences, which helps him show readers that they can do and be anything they want. Thanks for the review!

A memoir about a life that was saved by the author turning away from criminal type behaviors. There is always a lot to learn from life stories and the book: Trouble Ain't Nothin' But a Word: Conquering Fear by Paul O Scott might be a good place to start reading a redemption story.
Thank you for the excellent review.

Trouble Ain't Nothin' But a Word* by Paul O Scott. From the review you've written, this book sounds like a great biography. The author's honest narration of his story without sugar coating it impressed me enough to give this book a chance. Moreover, his actions, good and bad, and struggles with personal growth, sheds light on the lives of many people as well. Good job on the review.
And congrats to the author on BOTD.

Scott's journey is one of self-discovery. Through his introspection and his near-death experience, he confronts his demons and finds a new path. This highlights the importance of self-reflection and understanding the root causes of our struggles.

“Trouble Ain’t Nothing but a Word” by Paul O. Scott is a memoir that covers personal and professional challenges, successes and transformation after a life-altering event. The first sentence of the sample was rather profound as Paul states that he died. Raised by a Christian Science family in Chicago he describes the struggles he endured through life. His struggles with faith and eventual redemption were very interesting especially being raised as a Christian Scientist. His wife refused to let him die after a serious heart attack while having intercourse. Even after going more than eight minutes without oxygen he survived. The sample focused on his early life with a house full of siblings, an alcoholic father and a very tough mama. I have put this well-written book on my to-read list.

I applaud the author for having the courage to tell his story, warts and all. People needing a jolt in the right direction will appreciate the lessons learned from Paul's narrative.

Not really sure about this book and not just because I don't like and avoid reading non-fiction as a rule, but mostly because it sounds kind of dark and troubled in the description provided. While I thoughtfully admire the people capable to take full responsibility for their actions, I believe I will have to pass the book, but still congratulations on BOTD!

This biography follows the life of the author with all its ups and downs, challenges and victories. All to help the readers conquer their fears and succeed in life. I love that the author is not biased in his retelling and manages to be objective although it’s his life, thanks for pointing that out in your review!!
