Bellamy by G. Bradley Davis is a compelling coming-of-age novel set in the 60s, centering on Calvin, a lonely outcast navigating family expectations, ADHD, and friendships with marginalized town residents. Davis's vivid portrayal of Calvin's frustrations and the era's social issues, such as homophobia and racism, is powerful and eye-opening. Despite minor confusion with time skips, the story's depth and relevance make it a must-read. I highly recommend it for its nostalgic setting and important themes.
