A great book. Mental wellness is nowadays key considering that many people are battling stress and depression. I consider reading this book when i get time.

Sound useful for someone needing self help. I believe the author should fix couple sentences as indicated. It can higher some stress for some readers, instead of lowering it. However, if it's just sometimes, it should be ok. The important thing is to get that message through for who ever needs it.

"Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital Age" offers profound insights and historical context but suffers from a convoluted writing style. Best suited for patient intellectuals and academic readers.

This book explores a range of mental health concerns and looks at how they relate to identity, media, and drug abuse. Martin combines his knowledge of ancient languages with his experience in psychiatry to educate readers with a blend of personal insights, historical background, and concepts based on scientific research. Congrats on BOTD.

This book addresses several topics related to mental illness, such as identity, suicide, and the media. Due to its depth and writing style, it seems aimed at people interested in the theme academically.

Non fiction books are not my cup of tea but the book seems very educational explaining the reasons and conditions of mental illness and how it is influenced by the modern technological world. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The issues related to mental illness, such as identity, suicide and the media presented as the swarm in this book is a reality many are living with today. The title of the book conveys an angle that is very key to understanding mental illness in our now digital age. I'd have probably tried to read the book myself but reading in the review about how complicated it is to grasp easily the author's thoughts, and from the example cited, it was a huge turnoff. Somehow, I believe that intellectuals, and especially those in the field of psychology will understand and benefit more from the book than lay people like me.

The review is thorough and it is written with honesty. Such a topic requires facilitating the content so that it is easy for the non-specialized reader to relate to it. However, I find that dealing with topics of mental illness is worth reading because it discusses issues that have become increasingly common. Congrats on BOTD

Thank you for your blatantly honest review.
I believe the subject the book deals with is relevant to the times and contains vital information concerning mental illness, and yes, perhaps you are right. Considering the quote you extracted from the book, the writing style appears as if it aligns with the more academic-minded reader.
Congratulations to the author, Elliot B. Martin Jr!

I read for enjoyment and escape, and after reading a bit of the sample and the review, it's clear that this will be a bit of a tedious read and not for me. The topic however, is interesting since mental illnesses it seems escalates every year. Thanks for a detailed review. Congrats on BOTD.

By recognizing the role of social and economic factors in shaping mental health, it offers a more comprehensive analysis of the current mental health landscape. Martin acknowledges the benefits of technology while highlighting its potential downsides, painting a more realistic picture of its impact on mental health.

This book feels one challenging task to complete. The themes, plotline seems fine yet the author may left behind in delivering the message he listed out.

It is such a shame that you did not enjoy this book that much. The topic itself is very interesting. Seeing how people react to social issues, and how they have done so for years, is educational. I do prefer more casual books, so I will pass, but thanks for the review!

Great review! You weren't afraid to say what you disliked about the book. I don't think that I will be a good fit for this book, so I will pass.
